Title says it, looking for these parts for a new build.
Let me know what you have and the prices, I will definitely buy these parts (or something like them) within the next 24 hours.
Title says it, putting together a cheap build for my little brother, don't want to spend more than $50. Let me know what you have and the price and I'll get back to you. Preferably comes with HSF but I might have one laying around somewhere so not that big of a deal if it's the bare chip.
Title says it all. I have a brand new OEM QX9770 (no HSF, just bare proc.) for sale, $550 shipped. I will ship it overnight to your door USPS. I ship within 24 hours of recieving cleared payment. Heat is under Mastaflash and I prefer paypal but willing to take MO. Got a great deal on this but...
Just use the most up to date. Check out this thread, use the modded BIOS. I am using modded 1306 but also had good luck with the 803 (iirc the e8400 @ 4.0GHz was using the 803). All versions of the BIOS have a setting that removes vDroop, you can choose to use it or not.
Both are great boards, if I had to buy one right now I'd go with the P5Q Pro just because it's cheaper. I've actually owned three P5Q Pros, one with a Q6600 @ 3.6GHz, one with an E8400 @ 4.0GHz and then the one I'm currently running with a Q6600 @ 3.6GHz.
My P5Q Pro rocks, I personally prefer asus but the gigabyte board is a good choice also. I will probably go gigabyte on my next build if they get rid of that awful color scheme ;)
The memory is running at 900mhz, the FSB X 2 = memory speed if running @ 1:1.
Back on topic, this is a great kit of ram, very overclockable. I kust bought another set a few days ago but all of mine do DDR2 1000MHz very easily.
Looking for a PCIE video card for around $50 shipped, an 8800 GTS 320 is pretty much the only thing I'll pay more than $50 for. Looking for something like a 7900 GTX/GT/GS, 7800 GTX, X1900/X1950 XTX XT Pro LMK what you've got :D
Just refuse delivery and you will get a 100% refund....
Including shipping.... (At least the last few times I refused delivery with Newegg I also got shipping back..)
There is a memory remap feature, or something like that, that you have to enable. You can try using a lower multi and try hitting 3.6 (8 x 450 instead of 9 x 400) that way but you seemed to be going fine using the 9X multi so I would just stick with that.
That's why it's single channel, because one is in the black slot and one in the yellow. If you put both in the yellow or both in the black then it will show up as dual channel. I have a P5Q Pro and it's the same layout.
