    AW9D-Max disastrous bios update

anr11 you were absolutely right! I removed one of the dimms and it booted, went into bios and manually set the timings/voltage etc. Then switched off, fitted the second stick and it booted no problem. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my post I really appreciate it :)

    AW9D-Max disastrous bios update

Hi, Last night, my son in his infinite wisdom decided to update the bios on our AW9D-Max machine using the Abit bios update flash utility in uGuru (I know, I know). I walked in the room as he was doing this, the process had finished and the little box was displayed on the screen stating that the...

Hi, I noticed some of you guys with TJ-09’s have WD Raptors, I was just wondering how noisy you found them to be in this case considering the HD enclosure is vented/meshed on both sides? I have a TJ-09 myself but I’m currently running 2 Seagate 7200.10’s which are barely audible. However I am...

    Noise of raptor 74gb drive?

Sorry, maybe I worded it wrong. I am referring to firsthand experience, I have fitted several raptors and they have all been noisy during seek; they are definitely noisier than any 7200rpm drives I've fitted. I have had two people actually ask me to remove and replace them with an alternative...

    Noise of raptor 74gb drive?

Raptors are noisier when seeking than any 7200rpm I've heard, the 36 GB is definitely louder than the 74 GB. I have never fitted a 150 GB so I can’t comment; however, I have fitted several 36’s & 74’s and have found that the noise level depends on the case you’re fitting them in. As amdfan25...
