well if i were you, i would get them to either fix it or replace it. the macbook pro is such a well designed item, that if something was popping up, i would go crazy... dont try to fix it yourself first, since it may come back and claim you damaged it and charge you money to fix it.

i use a normal tower case, you can use your original case, no need to buy a new case, unless you insist on setting it up next to your a/v equipment. i use a 16foot dvi/hdmi cable to run my htpc to my a/v setup. just buy a big hard drive for storage, cause remember each hour will eat up 1-2gb...

i use a dvi convert to hdmi by monster cable ultra 800 cable. it is a very sharp improvement over regular dvi convert to vga (my panay accepts vga)
