I hate to ask a stupid question, but what is the big deal about 30fps vs 60fps? Is one a requirement of HD content? I thought they human eye/brain could not tell the difference much past 30fps anyway? Sorry if this has already been addressed in this thread.

Bingo. The patches have moved from improving performance to "leveling out" to make factions happy about gameply. Make the browser work, make the game run faster and forget about trying to make large balancing efforts to appeal to the whiners. You take out the hop/diving and something else...

I was all for a patch making AA and SAM's better, they needed to be. But, as usual, they have gone overboard with the fix. I don't know jack about programming a missle to track in a game, so maybe it is harder than I imagine but real world physics should apply at least a little. Deflection...

Went from one extreme to another. Now missles track impossibly to targets. I tested specifically firing near head-on and watched the missles do 180's back to target. They even seemed to "dance" on the target before blowing. I like being able to hit with the SAM's, but the AA is waaaaay...

My understanding is that you can still dive, but you can NOT fire while doing so. Bunny hop is the same I believe. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Nothing beats a great pair. I hate it when I am gunner and my pilot won't point the nose towards the target then gripes about me no using the TV's. Can't shoot what the TV can't see. :(

I'm just looking forward to the day when I fire SAM's or AAM's that they track my target and NOT my teammates. May the days of the 90 degree pivots be forgotten. And yes, I am a jet whore cause I love to fly and it shows... :D

As I said, the desire to move up in rank=being online more. Besides, think about it...the game features squad/team based communication. If someone spots the UAV, that person can notify whole team. The end result would be a system that encourages striving for rank AND places further importance...

Wonder if we'll see an increase in TK's from planes and copters shooting the heck out of the UAV which is hovering over friendly troops. There'll be a patch for that at some point. :D Sounds like this patch will require a rather large tactical adjustment.

Not too sure I like being able to see and destroy the UAV. Seems to me it should be more of an evasion action than anything else...and make the ability to "see" the UAV dependent upon rank. That way you are even more interested in moving up in rank.

I got my first ban for that very thing. You get that box around your target and it doesn't have the x in it so it's supposed to be enemy...I blow it up, I go bye-bye. Oh well. Now I usually make a close run over the target before bombing and the x will show up upon close-up view.

Play the SP side and learn the vehicles and weapon tendancies until school goes back in next week. Trying to play right now, especially if you are new to the game, is like banging your head against a brick wall. If you MUST play online right now, I would look at servers with fewer players...

Heh...I went from 256mb of PC-133 to 2 Gigs of PC-3200...I noticed a difference. :p You say you noticed no differences then noted differences in alt-tabing. It's only the beginning. You will enjoy that 2 gigs later and won't have to worry about uping it.

I don't mind the fark ads in some games, they add a little humor to the experience. But, really, I play games to get away from this stuff, y'know?

I am not trying to be a jerk, but what do you need a MB with 8 USB ports for? Wouldn't it be easier to get a really good board with a couple of ports and use a hub? Just curious.
