Tried this today, the BIOS update and DRAM training process remain tests of patience: the update process itself went fairly smooth and was able to apply the saved settings on usb drive, but ram training on expo took 2-3x longer than previously and initially kept going into a boot loop, then a window .efi missing file error on boot (didn't like that one bit), finally rebooted again where it seemed to train ram again for 2 mins, then threw the error again so I selected recovery but thankfully it just rebooted to regular windows this time around. Wtf is the process so arduous still (and one reason I have reduced updates to once in 6 months on my end)? And having to RMA memory or SSDs in this environment also means placing outrageous holds on credit cards for 'current market value' while the process plays out (should you need it), not fun...

reset the bios to optimized defaults and no settings import from prev versions on this one due to the agesa update.
 
Funny how little coverage AMD switching off Memory encryption got.
