Patch 2.31

https://www.cyberpunk.net/en/news/51794/patch-2-31

Patch 2.31 for Cyberpunk 2077 is being rolled out on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac and Nintendo Switch 2!
This update includes an AutoDrive upgrade and Photo Mode adjustments. It also addresses common issues encountered by players. For details, check the full list of changes below:

Vehicles
  • Updated AutoDrive. When driving to a selected point, the vehicle now drives smoothly, overtakes blocking vehicles, and no longer stops at traffic lights. Free Roam mode has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules and navigate the city more reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where Johnny always spawned in the passenger seat when using the Delamain Cab service.
  • Fixed an issue where applying CrystalCoat to the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru caused its wheels to flash in different colors.
Photo Mode
  • Most of the new poses introduced in Update 2.3 now work with any gender.
  • Disabled NPC collision, which will make it easier to position NPCs on top of other objects with collision (e.g. on car hoods).
  • Fixed an issue where some of the poses didn't work for Royce.
Quests & Open World
  • Freedom - Fixed the journal entry that appears when the player chooses not to steal the Rayfield Caliburn "Mordred."
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where, after V fails to pursue and stop Semimaru and receives a text from River saying he'll contact V soon, the follow-up message never arrives.
  • Motorbreath - Fixed an issue where the Yaiba Semimaru could flip over during the chase, preventing the player from entering it.
  • Motorbreath - It's no longer possible to trigger the quest if River died during The Hunt.
  • Motorbreath - Players can now acquire the Yaiba ARV-Q340 Semimaru through AUTOFIXER even if they failed The Hunt, which normally unlocks the side quest where the vehicle is obtained.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed a game crash that could occur in certain circumstances after leaving the Yaiba showroom event.
  • Nitro (Youth Energy) - Fixed an issue where the proxy interface UI in the Yaiba showroom is cut off when the "Larger HUD Elements" setting is enabled.
Miscellaneous
  • Fixed several localization and lipsync issues in various languages.
  • Added a toggle to disable vignette. It can be found in Settings → Graphics → Basic.
  • Fixed an issue on PC and Mac where Ray-Traced Reflections might not display correctly when enabled under certain conditions.
  • Fixed several issues with displaying text messages from Delamain.
  • Various fixes for fluff vendors.
PC-specific
  • Fixed an issue where NVIDIA Reflex could be disabled while DLSS Frame Generation was enabled, causing the screen to turn pink.
  • Fixed an issue where Path Tracing didn't activate properly in certain scenarios.
Mac-specific
  • Fixed an issue where changing graphics presets on Mac set Screen Space Reflections to a higher setting compared to the equivalent presets on PC.
  • Fixed an issue causing a permanent white screen when Frame Generation is enabled while entering the braindance in The Information.
  • Selecting "Defaults" in Video Settings no longer turns HDR Mode off.
  • Fixed the inverted behavior of the "Mute Game in Background" toggle in Settings.
  • Removed the outdated "(Requires Game Restart)" disclaimer from the mouseover description of the "Disable Spatial Audio" setting.
  • Fixed an issue on the App Store version that caused the game to become stuck on the “Press Space to continue” breaching screen.
  • Various stability and performance optimizations.

Oh man autodrive is much nicer now... tho i'd imagine most folks played before it was even a thing.

So as far as I know you can navigate by: run/walk, ride/drive, take the metro, or fast travel. Autodrive is a feature they added in 2.3, which is also when I started playing. Autodrive is you set a destination, get in one of your vehicles, and it takes you there. It's a nice feature. Kind of like being in the passenger seat (even though you technically are behind the wheel) because now your focus is not on driving, but on your immediate surroundings.

I find I use autodrive approx half the time I get in a vehicle. I'd imagine those who played without it used fast travel much more frequently. Autodrive was kind of borked in 2.3, janky and would only get you so far on most trips. 2.3.1 works as intented.

EDIT: Oh man just saw you can turn vignette OFF!!!!!!!! Huge improvement IMO, when I first started playing, I was like WTF is this and how do I turn it off.... Almost seems wrong that it took them until 2.3.1 to give this option.
Also they changed how RT and PT settings are displayed in the menu.

I started my second play through today. Did the whole new character and stuff and went Nomad this time. Start seems to change quite significantly. Just hit my house and stopped. I can see myself replaying it now with the performance finally there. Even with undervolt was pushing 500-530 watts. However, playing in silence maxed out with 2x FG was sublime.

The starting mission is different for every life path. It's about the only place where that makes a major difference.

I really want to revisit this game cuz I hear such good things about it but the damn key bindings this is another game where the key bindings just like fallout 4 prevented me from being able to play it. Are you guys using a controller or keyboard?

Keyboard and mouse. You can change the keybinds to whatever you want like any other FPS game made in the last three decades.

"Cyberpunk 2077 Records 35 Million Copies Sold As CDPR Ramps Up for Sequel

by Cpt.Jank Today, 18:09 Discuss (4 Comments)
It's no wonder Cyberpunk 2 has already passed the pre-production phase and is entering full-fledged development, given that CD Projekt Red just announced that the iconic RPG just surpassed 35 million sales, reportedly, earning CDPR as much as $30.2 million in Q3 2025 revenue alone, when combined with all the DLC and expansion purchases for the game.

CDPR also announced in the earnings report that it would be scaling up both its Boston and Vancouver offices, with both offices projected to grow by up to 100% before the end of 2027. Since July 2025 alone, CDPR has taken on 52 new employees, and at the time of the earnings report, there were 447 developers working on The Witcher 4, while 135 developers were working on Cyberpunk 2."
impressed?

hmm, I played quite a few where this is not 100% correct usually unreal engine ones. But that should not be an issue in this case.

What about the key bindings are keeping you from playing this or FO4,.

The only default keybind that's odd to me that I can think of is the use key. Again, you can rebind it if it bothers you. Not really a big deal.

For a moment I thought we may finally get another expansion or an update that added content. A nice video, but I can't say I'm not disappointed they haven't added to/fixed a few things (or even provided mod tools to allow users to make significant custom content additions) , especially if its going to be awhile before the sequel arrives.

Favorite part of the trailer is the comment saying Hanako is still waiting at Embers after 5 years.

Just spot on.

Agreed. Nice video, but very underwhelming if that's all we're getting.

Part of me thinks there's still "something" coming. They definitely hinted at something for the 5-year anniversary in the previous Live Steam, but maybe, whatever it is that they are working on, isn't ready yet, and they decided not to announce anything? I dunno.

In the meantime, there's this cash grab that was announced yesterday:

edit:

Not worth bumping the thread, but here's a 5th year anniversary Collector's Set:

Biochip Replica, 3 Tarot Cards, 2 pins, and a USB stick... oh, and a steel case for only $150. lol

At least include the full Tarot Card deck at this price. 3 cards only? Ehh... hard pass.

Wow, they met their goals a bit!

I used to love TCGs, but if I bought this, it would just sit on a shelf.

I pledged for CyberPunk Legends, co-op card game awhile back. Not interested in TCGs.

It's also on sale on GOG (CDPR is behind both GOG and Cyberpunk) if you want it DRM free. Supposing you don't have it, get it. RISE. UP. RESIST AND DISORDER! :D
Not anymore with GOG. Ex-CDPR co-founder (I think) bought it back.

Just started my first playthrough despite owning this since release all the way back in December 2020. Don't know what everyone was complaining about....seems to run and play fine to me 🥳🤪🥸🤣
:D

It's true though, they have it in a really good state. Some of the "launched as a disaster" games only ever get patched to "Not a total disaster but still lots of problems and crashes." Cyberpunk is in really good shape though. I don't think it ever crashed until I started modding it, and then it only has issues with certain mods (the Welcome to Night City collections seems well curated and crash free).

I'm actually glad I never played it when it came out, by the first time I tried it, it was in good shape so I had a great experience. Doing a replay of it now to enjoy my 5090.

Same here, I bought the base game on epic earlyish but didn't play. Finally got the DLC + base game on gog recently and am thinking about starting on my 4080 mobile notebook soon. :D :ROFLMAO:
