Yes, Vega 64 to Radeon VII was a nice upgrade.
In my case, I was running Vega 64 Crossfire, because 1 Vega was not good enough for 4K. However it was a mistake.
After upgrading to Radeon VII, I realized that Crossfire had been causing stuttering issues the whole time (even while FPS stats looked good).
VII is so much smoother and actually works in 4K on Ultra sometimes, or at least High settings in a lot of games.
If you're going AMD then Radeon VII is a great pick. I'd even go as far to say that it is better than 1080 Ti or Titan X Pascal (both of which I've had).
At least with this FreeSync TV it works out great. When I had Nvidia on the TV it was without adaptive sync, so that makes a big difference.
