Don't you mean 5/8?
If you're looking at 4k reviews and want an approximate 3440x1440 fps you multiply it by 8/5.
Obviously assumes it's GPU limited, which it likely is at that res.

Never mind... This project at work has me stressed out and I was thinking backward. If you're looking at 4k reviews and want an approximate 3440x1440 fps you multiply it by 8/5.

Anyone had trouble installing the AMD Vega driver? My monitor comes tomorrow using DPort, but my current one I am using for driver setup and testing is just a HDMI 1080P. When the driver starts to update HDMI settings/driver the screen goes black and I have to reboot. So far all benching shows this to be 2 times or more the card of my 290. However not sure what is still on the table if I cant update the driver.
I finally got it to work. Had to go to the file from what partially loaded and it ran from there. Went into the AMD folder, not under program files but the main files list and then the win10XXXXXX.... file and hit the setup file. Crossed fingers and it installed.
No problem with fan noise. It's audible, but not bothersome. I'd say about average. However, I also run my AC all the time and have a white noise machine in my room because I like fan sounds, so that may bias my opinion. So how is the fan noise?
Orange Room = 5,315VRMark scores ?
Sorry, I never had a Fury. How is the performance compared to a single R9 Fury Non X that cannot unlock? Thanks.
I ordered from NewEgg and they sent me an email with the codes immediately after charging my card.Did you get a coupon for the free games or did they give you a link to redeem at all?

I haven't seen FreeSync yet, but G-Sync is amazing and I'm not sure a lot of people fully realize the benefit.Everyone including reviewers are saying how awesome freesync is is awesome and worth it.
Interesting comparison here ,I think I will go grab one of these vega's.
The Witcher 3 AMD RX Vega 64 Vs GTX 1080 Vs GTX 1080 TI Frame Rate Comparison
Doom Vulkan AMD RX Vega 64 Vs GTX 1080 Vs GTX 1080 TI Frame Rate Comparison
On the Witcher 3 video, why on the Vega 64 system is the CPU running a lot cooler and the CPU is not working as hard? All three cards are pegged at 99/100% usage so its not a bottleneck.
The higher FPS on the 1080 Ti means the CPU is doing more processing as each frame requires work from the CPU (such as physics calculations, object culling, or other things that run on the CPU).On the Witcher 3 video, why on the Vega 64 system is the CPU running a lot cooler and the CPU is not working as hard? had that problem with chill on the wifes 290, drove me crazy till I figured out why the fps was arbitrarily low from time to time. I haven't tried power saver yet, don't really car too much. But in Firestrike balanced and turbo gave identical results.Actually, I'm not sure power saver mode is that great. Turned it on and tested DOOM. Performance dropped from 65 to 55. I guess that is about expected. However, loading Dishonored the performance dropped from 75 to 45, and it was barely playable with lots of stutter.
I put it back on balanced, and played Dishonored for about 1 hour smoothly. Still not even sure why my computer shut off before, or if power saver mode would even fix it. Wonder if it could be a bugged AMD driver or something else that can be fixed.
My orange room using demo is 8365. Sure yours is correct?Orange Room = 5,315

You may want to get a beefier PSU. The TR system I spec'd out was 1021W just going by TDP with two Vega 64. It's 848W with an R7 1800X.Thanks for the video, I do like Adored's thinking.
The power draw is concerning but not the biggest issue for me. I have 4 machines I use (2 with multi-GPU) plus a 24/7 mining rig with 6 cards. Not particularly power conservative.
However (and somewhat ironically) my computer shut off in the middle of watching the video. No warning or anything, just a black screen and the power LED was out on the case.
I have a 1000W power supply, so I think that should be enough. Plus I wasn't even gaming, just watching a YouTube video. To be safe, I set GPU to power saver mode and it's been fine for the past 30 minutes benchmarking some games.
Also, I think the drivers are really beta at this point. I've gotten some strange error popups and oddities in the past day that never happened before. Stuff like this:

I could try a clean driver install but then I will have to redo my game profiles. Might wait for the first official driver and then start fresh (DDU).
Sorry, I never had a Fury.
I think you would have to go V64 to see any big differences.Thanks. Do you think I would see a difference if I upgraded from a single R9 Fury Nitro to Vega 56 or 64? I have crossfire at the moment, which works well enough but, I have not been gaming much so I am thinking of selling on Sapphire Fury Tri X. Thanks.
Super happy I get to use my mspaint picture againProbably to give the national grid time to reinforce their reactors.

Cant say much but going from my 290 looks to be >2X fps. So a huge upgrade for me. Fury was a bit faster than my 290, maybe 30-40% (just pulling numbers out of my rear here) so it could be a good upgrade although you have to consider cost as well, but being you have a fury you could get a hefty price for it if you are willing to chance it.Thanks. sounds reasonable. I was just guessing. Still figuring out my WC Vega64. I will go deeper into OCing/or not when I get my PC back in my air-condition case. Right now setting Fallout4 back up on my new Samsung 34" Ultra wide.Fury (Fury Nano) to Fury X was 10-15%
Fury X to Vega 56 will be another 10-15%
Fury 56 to Fury 64 will be another 10-15%
so 20-30% from Fury Nano to Fury 56 is a reasonable assumption while 30-45% is reasonable for Fury Nano to Fury 64.

Super lame.
I'm all about Vega, but not at $700/800. At that price you can easily get a 1080 Ti and have money left over. Doesn't make sense. So Newegg started raising prices on the Vega listings...
I agree. The score seems low. However, I'm not sure how it can be run incorrectly. I just pressed the Benchmark button and that was it.Those cant be right. My stock fury x scores over 7800 in the orange room
