Forza 2 Demo out tonight!

Just speaking to a reviewer friend of mine who reckons that other than the graphics (which aren't bad, but aren't GT:HD) it's pretty much perfect.

Maybe I should buy a 360 or something. lol

do most of you play with a controller or do you use a wheel who are excited about this game?


I'll give it a try, just I'm not particular on simulators. But then again I keep thinking maybe it's because I'm not using a wheel.
 
I browsed through the boards and it looks like it will be around 3am:(

Still no official word from Turn 10. Hopefully we'll hear something soon. I've been checking the forums regularly since I first saw this thread.

Playing a simulator racing game without a wheel is very hard for me to control the car. Good thing my cousin has one and let me use it. I wish G25 is supported on this game though.
 
Well depending on how late it is I might not grab it until tomorrow, when I'm done working for the day. Still, this is awesome news, assuming it's true. I just checked Major Nelson's site and he doesn't have anything about it yet, but hopefully it happens.

Great, and yesterday I let a friend borrow my 'box for the rest of the week. Spring update I was okay with missing, this... :(
 
I haven't read any of the threads on ForzaMotorsport.Net, and the one talking about the demo is MANY pages, so I'm just curious. Have they said what we can expect in the demo? Is it single player only, or perhaps multiplayer only? Any information on the car(s) we can use? I'm guessing there will probably only be one track, but a 3-5 different cars to pick from would be nice.

I heard it's one track and the only car available is a detuned Yaris.

there are 24 cars to choose from with only one track available.

File size of the demo is 700 megs.

yes the graphics are not fantastic, honestly in comparison to GTHD the graphics in forza fall flat on their face, and I don't think the car physics are THAT much better than GT's hopefully the demo pales in comparison to the full game.
 
its decent. i hope its holding back quite a bit because its a demo. if i pay 50 bucks for this when it comes out and it looks and drives like this the modding of cars better be off the charts!!!
as far as there being 35 cars in the demo LMAO more like 12-14
 
Downloading now. Anyone try using the steering wheel with it yet? It was supposed to support it. :)

Hopefully when I get home from school it will be done. :cool:
 
I suck at this game. I keep trying to corner like I do in PGR3, and just go flying off the damn track. That said, it's a fun game, and it doesn't look terrible - just realistic. I've also heard that some cars are better than others in terms of looks, so keep that in mind...
 
yeah that makes sense, stick the worst (graphically) looking cars in the demo to attract people to buy the full version. :rolleyes:

Thanks guys for making my day longer at work, it's only almost 9 am and I still have 7 hours to go :( now I only think about forza. I want to play it now!!!
