Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'd like to reroute my TV's audio through my computer's headphones. I found a post about a pci-e addon card that could capture HDMI audio from a TV's ARC, but it looks like it has been discontinued.
Anything like this out there you can still buy that's not super pricy? Most of what I'm finding...
I'm pretty tempted by the 50" QN90B. Anyone have a dissenting opinion?
Additionally, is the 50" 120Hz or 144Hz? Reviews say 144, but Best Buy, Amazon, and NewEgg all say 120
I've read multiple posts on the forums here about people w/ that monitor who dimmed the brightness, hid their taskbar, and had their screensaver set up... and still got burn-in.
I'm looking to get a monitor that's up to 55" diagonal with UHD resolution. Probably used 75% for work, 25% for games/TV, so it can't be sensitive to burn-in.
Unfortunately, while the AORUS FO48U looks great, toolbars would burn-in even on lowered brightness, from what I've read.
What would...
I'm looking at picking up a Cooler Master H500M case, and want to optimize cooling. The CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE seems to be one of the most popular 360mm radiators, so I was thinking I'd go with that.
Everything I'm finding on google seems to say "yes, a radiator need fans." Well, duh. But I'm...
Sure hope some quality ATX 3.0 PSUs start becoming available soon. First, I delayed my build wanting DDR5 to become available, since it was just on the horizon and I'd already nearly skipped the DDR4 generation entirely.
Then crypto made GPUs nigh impossible to get. And now that that's finally...
I'll let you know next week :)
there are cheaper similar devices without the matrix mode that would be well suited for sharing a pc
I'd certainly rather have paid half as much. overpriced for sure
I found a solution... it's a bit overkill, and wireless when I wanted wired, but still $200 cheaper than that wired one I found.
(found on Amazon) IOGEAR GWHDMS52 is a wireless HDMI 4x2 matrix box.
Plug in <=4 HDMI inputs, plug into computer monitor, plug USB into computer. Then in another...
I need more precision than I can get using a phone app and touchscreen. (Probably going to be playing games, not just queuing up a movie)
But that's a good idea - there's probably an app that I can hook up a keyboard+mouse using a USB-on-the-go cable, and then use my old phone instead of a pi...
i wish. that would make everything easier.
unfortunately I can't pass a new cable through the wall. my hdmi is being streamed wirelessly through a receiver box
i did find an all in one solution, but it would cost $500 http://www.networktechinc.com/usbkvm-hdmi-ip.html
I have a TV in one room, and a computer in another. I have an HDMI splitter that lets me have the same video/audio, regardless of which room I am in.
The problem is, I have no way to control the PC from the other room.
The best solution I've found unfortunately won't work for me...
I have two monitors (a 24 and 20). My 24 is considered my primary display by windows, but I have dragged my taskbar to my 20 monitor. (I do this because I play games and dont want to lose the taskbar) This works fine but when I switch inputs on my 24 monitor and then switch back later...
that looks like a rebranded playstation controller, lol. yay marketing.
The PS3 controller w/ keyboard looks good but seems like the most expensive option I've seen so far.
