Buff: you are right about the ram timings, but I still haven't solved the problem. I was reading through newegg's reviews for the Patriot 800 mhz 2x1gb extreme Ram I have and a lot of others said that they weren't able to install windows (my problem) until they manually adjusted the ram timings...

The timing for my RAM is supposed to be 4-4-4-12, but in my bios I see 5 categories: tCL tRCD tRP tRAS tRFC I put 4-4-4-12 in the first four categories but I don't know what to place in the fifth, tRFC, it's set at 21 by default. Thanks (i'm using patriot extreme 2gb 800 mhz ram btw)

:sigh: i went and exchanged both the motherboard and processor for new ones. I'm getting the exact same error that's in the title again. Perhaps I'm breaking the processor when I'm mounting the NT06 heatsink....As for your suggestions regarding the Ram timings I'll have to check into what...

Can't get my board to boot with e4300 chip, keep getting CMOS checksum errors or CPU errors. I'm using both a SATA optical and hard disk drive with the original bios. Could that be the problem? Or is my processor just bad, or mobo, or both?

what's the difference between the nt06 and the nt06 lite?

Just curious, why did you pick the nt06 lite over the plain nt06? Also I would bump the power supply up to 520 watts. the corsair 520 is a great piece.
