At first I was coming back every couple days for an update, that changed to every other week, then several weeks, now months...and no new updates, so sad... :(
Hope you are doing well man
Ok, so I found out what the problem is.
Apparently VLC's default video output has an issue. Simply switch it to "Open GL"
and everything will work just fine.
I experienced "tearing" in the movies afterward, but I simply uninstalled the codec pack I initially installed when trying to fix the...
The thing is, on my other computer (with intel integrated graphics) and the same win7 build, using the same VLC, it will play the HD MKV files just fine with no pixelation (with no codec packs installed). I tried it on all settings and it works perfect.
just had some friends tell me they had issues with some of their 32bit apps not working right on the 64bit OS, so I just have been using 32bit. Never tried it on 64bit yet.
I mostly use VLC as my main player, latest build 1.0.0, but I also have used Media Player Classic. I have enabled and disabled hardware acceleration and it doesnt seem to do anything. I also noticed that it seems to be a problem with Scaling.

Ballistic: You got really lucky with your Q6600 chip! For you to have a stock VID of 1.225v is crazy. My Q6600's VID is 1.325 and it can do 3.6Ghz too @ 9x400 but at a CPU Voltage of 1.456v. I do not need to increase other voltages to get it prime stable for 24/7 though. Is your system...
I have the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P /F8 Bios/ e8500 CPU
I have been using it for the last couple months just fine @ 4009mhz = 9.5x422 @ 1.23125v in bios which is 1.2v in cpuz ver 1.50. The only other thing besides Vcore that needed to be adjusted to be 100% stable at 4009mhz was mch core which had to...
