If you ramp up the heat and difficulty and overclock... I could see how that third card might interfere with gaming.. Also, I believe there's an option to offload some of the SHA-256 work that cudaminer does to the CPU That could cause a stutter or two.
I play New Vegas when I mine... I've...
In the cudaminer instruction set there's a variable for d ="device". Third card is most likely -d 2 I run one 780 gaming and run one mining at the same time. I don't know how SLI will effect this. I'm sure it would work.
What you fail to understand is... I don't look at spreadsheets... I look at the real world.. and try to make real world assessments. Not some two-minute fantasy made-up for the internet.
I don't come in with false accusations... I have this hardware... I see what it can do. I just don't like people lying when I try to make informed decisions when I buy. I can do 600 khs for sure... it's diminishing returns. It destroys my PCH temps... Too much power for not enough gain. I...
yeah you're completely right.. the internet is the way, the truth and the light. What a fool I am to run my hardware at safe speeds 24/7 while someone takes their highest clock on liquid jesus and says that's their hashrate...they show a screenshot that runs for two minutes and its gospel.
ok.. go go power rangers! *sigh*// whatever... everybody gets like 100000 more khs than I do with the same hardware. I'm totally doing it wrong. It's always the same story.
well.. I'm still making a profit running those cards... I do the maffs. Still making money...not optimal to be sure. Got a few AMD cards inbound... leave my 780s for gaming.
hmm... my 780 does 400w at the wall. 500 khs 80 percent TDP.. It's possible...I have X79 platform. I idle about 175w. AMD is still superior in this dept.
