im not too fussed really, by the time it becomes an issus the pc will have been upgraded and new blocks needed lol. The res is aluminium anyway so hoepfully the fesser water will do its job and minimise and battery effect.

Ok, been a while and I had a few disasters in the meantime but im back and have made good progress :) I dropped the case causing the vent to split form the top. Here it is all rebulit and strengthened.
think the paint came out better too. teh side panels and the top part also were...
I painted my asus laptop, i just sanded the plastic down a fair bit, used bondo on the plastic to give it a thin coat, sanded again and then primer over the top. that way you dont have to worry about the primer reacting with the plastic. Its been done for over an year now and still looks as good...
