So a little update on the whole situation.
Ordered Copper shim thermal pads and applied together with some thermal paste fixing the gap between heatsink and chipset.
Temps improved a lot from 73c under heavy load in warm day to 51c after 1hour in Aida64 Extreme.Around 35-45c when doing light...
Still ironing out my ryzen 3950x build.
But one question I can not find answer internet.
What are safe temps for x570 chipset ? Mine under full aida64 stress test reaches 75c in 30min around 63-63c while gaming and 55c while idle.
I have 9 120mm fan in case 7 intake and 2 exhaust + 240mm...
Downgraded BIOS from 3.40 to 3.00 did run memtest86 all night. No restarts so far and no WHEA under stress tests. So far loving my X570 Taichi but BIOS updates breaks more than it fixes.Running stable at 3733Mhz CL-16-19-19-19-37 1.4V
Got it working @3600Mhz CL16.
But I think RAM was not the issue .Now that I start to think the issue started to appear after 3.40 update and what I see from redit I am not the only one effected with same issue. It was running fine on version 3.0 with 3733mhz cl16 .At this point I just want to use...
I just did watch couple video tutorials with x570 Taichi. Upgrade was not planed as I got the CPU and mobo for free so did not do my homework relating ram and ryzen. My knowledge about RAM ends after enabling xmp.
So I set SOC voltage on 1.1 RAM voltage at 1.4v and tried to apply ryzen calc...
Only reason I used for dram calc was to be able to boot the system as XMP profiles does not work.
Atm did aida64 stress test with HWinfo opened to see if any errors pop up.
Attached image with ram speeds I have atm
So for a 1st time in my life I have switched to team Red.
And with all the benefits from it comes some things I have no clue how to resolve.
So after I finished the build all did seem to run fine for a most of the day until PC decided just to restart on its own.
The system was not under...
Booked motherboard for warranty hopefully that will get it sorted.
In desktop it does work under load it wont shut down .But in random periods it can just freez crash and fail to boot .
I heard that x399 Gigabyte boards are crap , but was not here when they put the PC together.
So long story short started work experience in office month ago.And one of guys here has ryzen threadripper 2950x and x399 auros extreme motherboard.
And it acts like possessed by the evil itself.Temps jumps from -5 o +50c all the time sometime stucks in 4c-10c .Fans disappear and appear on...
Ran in a bit of issue here.Friend sent me his PC for check up from UK to Ireland.
But I cant not point area of problem to solve it , so hoping for your help.
In random times once I boot up the system I get PMU memory training error and only 1 stick of ram gets recognized from 2...
Hey people .
So long story short.
I have 2 HDD,s running raid 0 and 970 Evo m.2 1tb .Got spare m.2 ssd from Toshiba 256gb.
The issue is that my bios wont detect it. When I leave just Toshiba SSD it works and bios sees it .But once I add my Samsung 970 or my hard drives it disappears again...
Then its decided plus as mentioned unopened CPU will sell faster .
Had no idea about AF variant at the time of purchase and came across one of the threads about it day before post man delivered it to me.
Purchased from customparts.ie had no idea if it was advertised as AF as was not searching...
Feel free to skip to question part as 1st part just writing in detail how I get to the choice I have now,
So many months ago my 1st ryzen build ever died randomly and refused to post.As I had spares to troubleshoot ended up with dead 1700x and as I had no proof of purchases did not even...
Just another update.
Seems issue got fixed somehow. Have been playing destiny 2 for 3 hours with 165mhz Core and 1000mhz memorie overclock and temps are back to 60c max.
Might be that there was flow block in AIO even tho it will not explain why it crashed pc at 75c
