Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've never owned an MSI product, but I wouldn't mind starting. I've kept with a single brand so far for nvidia since my first GeForce 4, but I'm no stickler for brand affiliation!
Yeah, no problem. I would overclock my processor, but in the summer, my room gets too hot as it is. For what I use it for, it's just fine the way it is. That's my MO, I upgrade my system and run it stock for a little while then overclock it when it gets a little long in the tooth/new games come...
I really need to publish it in my sig, but, my system specs are a i7 920 at stock 2.66GHz, evga GTX 470 all stock as well, with 6GB of RAM in the system.
I ran the bench with 3 loops and in DX10 mode with the rest of the settings you specified. Here are the results! I do have the full HTML...
This is a cool video to watch:

While not specifically used for rendering, it's the most interesting multi-gpu setup used for number crunching that I've seen so far. And they outline some of the roadblocks they encountered...
Well, http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1521655 just came out. It's a new DX11 bench.

I think dropping another LGA 775 into that mobo would be a poor choice. Sure you'd get more performance, but the platform is becoming pretty long in the tooth at this point and I think you'd regret it in the long run.
As far as overclocking goes, are you also raising the voltage? What are the...
The GTX 480 has 3 billion transistors.
And it's true, GPUs are really designed very differently, although I don't see why seperating the logic
into two distinct and separately manufactured dies would be a bad idea per se. Although it might have some other undesired consequences when it comes to...
Hey folks, I just bought a GTX 470. I came to this decision after a lot of internal debate and the short of it is that I do a lot of video encoding for my PS3, so I want to be able to use badaboom for its super fast encoding. Anyways, I'm aware this thing is a monster when it comes to power draw...
Hey folks, long time lurker rarely post much though.
Anyways, I have a question, hopefully you guys can help.
I currently have a GeForce 8800GT 512MB gfx card. It runs most things well on my 1920x1200 23" display. I don't play anything too intensive, and the rest of my rig is pretty good, I'll...
