Okay good to hear :). Yeah I think because the need never came up and it's been fine, I didn't even think about it. After I finished my build, I suddenly realized how long I'd been using it. lol. But hey, kudos to Silverstone I guess
Okay thanks. Yeah it has not been pushed hard much over the years. Just light gaming and office type stuff. It's never been off for more than a week, so at least I've avoided the extremes.
Just wanted to get some input from folks. I have a Ryzen 3800xt system and the one component that has survived the last decade is my power supply:
SILVERSTONE Strider Gold ST1200-G 1200W
I purchased this new in 2011 and it's been chugging along without any problems since then. Just wondering...
I've been running 12GB of the G.Skill Trident DDR2000 RAM in my i7 system @ 1640Mhz for the last 6 months without any issues (aside from a recent issue with one of the sticks). Though they're plenty capable, I haven't tried tightening the timings any lower than CAS 7. But I don't do anything...
Okay - trying HWM BlackBox. As I cycle through the RAM slots it, it shows the Module Slot #.
Ram #1 = DIMM0
Ram #2 = DIMM1
Ram #3 = DIMM2
Ram #4 = DIMM3
Ram #5 = DIMM4
Ram #6 = DIMM4
Presumably it should be DIMM5. So maybe it's the last stick...
Okay - very odd. I rebooted and it's showing 10GB of ram in Task Manager as well as the boot up screen when the machine is first powered on. However, CPU-Z shows 12288MBytes of RAM and all 6 slots show up in the SPD tab.
Hey guys... so having a weird ram issue - please see the system specs in my sig. I've got 12GB of the G. Skill Trident running @ about 1638Mhz (well below spec), CAS 9, 1.64V. My system is OC'd to 4.3ghz at the moment (was at 4.4 but backed off a little).
Sometimes between reboots, the...
Nice - I just started OC'ing my new 920 last night as well - getting similar temps w/ the Apogee XT waterblock. I passed 20 rounds of lynx @ 4.2ghz (200x21, 1.35V vcore, 1.344V under load) last night so I think I may just keep it at 4.2ghz. Anyway, going to run p95 for a few hours to make sure...
Okay - fixed. ran the ultimate boot cd and the magicpart ..deleted the partitions and then reran win 7 setup. That seems to have fixed it. I think not properly removing the disks from RAID mode screwed things up for a bit.
Alright, so I just finished putting this new i7 rig together and for some reason I'm having issues getting Win 7 to install onto a chosen disk:
I've got 2 WD Black 1TB drives and 2 Seagate 1TB drives - all SATA
All SATA controllers set to AHCI. First I went into the RAID utility and...
I went with 2 x 6GB kits of these G.Skill:

They're CAS 9, but I can probably tighten them up if I'm running 'em at less than 2000mhz
