What exactly is the difference between normal ram and "XMS" ram? I tried to look it up on google without much luck. My general assumption would be that it is faster // more efficient than normal ram (considering how much more expensive it is) - but I'd like to have that theory backed up if...
I was browsing through some stuff on my computer when my Nvidia firewall poped up with a warning about a program called "logagent"
I google'd it, and didnt really find anything more than the full name of the program which is apparently:
"LogAgent 4.0 Open Source" -
and that it...
Yes, I had looked at the calculators and whatnot... but in terms of building my own computer stuff... I prefer to second-guess myself, and ask some other people to be safe. Would rather look a little silly, and get my question answered.. than not ask, and have my computer like.. fuse together...
Ahh, many thanks to you :)
If anyone else has some suggestions, I welcome them, in terms of broadening the field of what to look for. But I have a start now, thanks :)
Ummm... but.. I have no way to see what is on the inside... i can spend hour after hour re-reading all of that information on rails, and capacity requirements, and pins, and whatnot.. but... i would much appreciate a few people just taking a few minutes to sit down and maybe make a few...

and... am i crazy.. or is there no difference between the two corsair ram setups.. i cant figure out why the one is $1 more... arent they the same thing?
I have not researched anything about PS's for a while now... so most of my knowledge about rails and capacities and all of that has gone completely out the window. Can anyone suggest a PSU that would be powerful enough to handle that load (below), stable, and preferibly in the 'under $50' range...
I am contemplaying adding some more ram to this. It is on sale at NE, and is a very good deal. I am worried, however, that there will be a conflict between the new ram, and the old 512 stick. Can anyone tell me one way or the other? Thank you :)
Current RAM:
