I don't think I ever said that, link me if I'm wrong. I probably said I would go back to Nvidia if they offered something really superior, and while I think they've got a decent product, it's not "better" enough for me to switch from my current setup. I'm not planning to upgrade soon, and if I did right now, the 480's just aren't for me. They may have better scaling and performance, but a single 5870 is meeting my current needs sufficiently enough, that upgrading to dual 480's would be a really bad move given the potential return on investment is minimal.
There is a first time for everything. I got a post deleted. I'll curb myself from now on. I've been reading these forums since they started. I just had not joined. I plan on being around here for a very long time. BTW, I don't envy your task here. I know it's a thankless job. Hopefully, I wont be causing you more work
I'll try to check it out, but if you see problems in the future, please use the report bad posts button. Most mods are on at least once a day, but we may not see everything. The report bad post button sends a message to everyone on the mod team that can address issues in that particular forum.
The thread failed because it was posed very badly. Next time, instead of accusing AMD of lying to millions of people, just state what problem you're having, and ask if anyone knows of a solution. I guarantee you your thread would have gone about 10,000 times better.
If a driver update messed up a demo, then the dev/publisher should either talk to AMD about it or patch their product.
Not being able to run a DX11 demo does not mean the card lacks DX11 support, as there are thousands of more likely answers. Maybe you should start a thread asking for help getting the demo to run, minus the stupid.
Yep, nobody posted a solution, i kept googling, people with similar problems kept popping up with no idea what to do, eventually got a hint to try the older drivers. Downgraded from 10.1 to 9.11 and that fixed it.
Unfortunately, the ATI apologists continued the thread. Too bad.
