Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Sorry to contradict, but in my experience it's generally easier to replace just the screen rather than the complete lid (there are some exceptions). To replace the screen it's 0-6 screws to take the bezel off and then 2-3 screws on each side of the screen. To replace the complete lid involves...
Hi.
I have upgraded an old pc for my Mum. I used the serial number from the cod sticker on the back of the case to install xp home (oem).
When the install finished, windows tried to connect to the internet to activate, but there was no connection because drivers were needed. So I canceled...
I bought a 2005fpw on ebay that had problem. Took a chance and rang Dell for a replacement. Then used the replacement for over a year before it failed. So took a chance again and Dell sent me a 2007fpw.
I could try and send this one back, but It seems that they will only send me...
Hi.
Does anyone know how to take apart a dell 2007fpw? I want to try the black tape method to fix the backlight bleed. I have seen some pics showing how to take apart a 2005fpw, but am not sure if the same method will work with a 2007.
thanks
I have the same requirements and think i'm going to buy an "ABIT IL9 PRO"
It's cheap and basic with a reliable brand name. Reviews say the only major things the board lacks is raid and overclocking. Testing showed a very small loss of performance compared to the newer chipsets, like 1fps in...

Also the usb 1 cable didn't give me usb 2 speeds, hence the replacement.
Maybe it's different for others, i was just going...
I bought a couple of speaker grills from a uk electronics shop called "maplin"
Guess you could buy them from anywhere that sells parts to make your own speakers.
It's pretty tough metal so is hard to bend and cut, but it's already painted black which is nice...

My aim is to make my pc as quiet as possible, but still be able to oc. (oh, and to play with a dremel too)
