Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
How on EARTH did you manage to run a 8800GS, overclocked or not, on a 380W PSU??!
Yes, its almost definietly your PSU. You need at the absolute minimum around 450W to run a 8800GS stable, but 500W would probably be much better.
I decided to test my now 4 year old LCD's input lag vs my old CRT monitor. If other people could post their Input Lag, it would be a great reference for extreme gamers looking for a minimal input lag. Anywas, here is my setup for testing:
Needed: a CRT monitor, a LCD monitor, a decent...
yeah, i only use forceware 169.21 for now. With 169.28 and later, I get considerally less FPS in practically everything. Try that out.
I have the same card and NEVER, EVER drop below 100fps @ 1280x1024, max everything. I set it to "fps_max 100" to reduce the load since thats plenty. But the...
I'm looking at getting myself a sound card thats better than the onbaord one I have (RealTek HD Audio), but I only ever use headphones, so 7.1 or whatever is pointless for me. I'm a gamer and would like something decent but relatively cheap. I've never had non-onboard sound, and I want something...
I just built my computer a few weeks ago, and you can see the specs in my signature.
I'd been noticing lately that after coming out of standby, everything would be running a bit slower, and my games all had like 10-20fps less. So when I downloaded CoreTemp today for the heck of it, I noticed...
I just downloaded O&O Defrag (wonderful program by the way) since I was kinda running out of Hard Drive space, and I noticed when I analyzed the drive, it showed that more than a 1/5th of my drive is reserved for MFT. Since my HD is 120GB, this means around 25GB of my drive is being reserved for...
For a while now I have been toying around with getting cool(er) temperatures, and I tried taking the side of the case off to see if that would do much. It did. My GPU does not have a temperature monitor, but my CPU at max load is only about 43C with the case off (and upwards of 53C when the case...
Strange, I reset the defualt settings on IE (I never remember even changing them, let alone using IE :p ) and now things open up in Opera, which is good since thats the browser i use. Thanks for the help, sorta.
XP SP2. So I don't know whats going on. I dont have any firewalls that would block this since all I use is Peerguardian (which even if i disable, I can't get IE to open). Turning windows firewall on and off changes nothing either.
For a while now, none of the programs on my computer can call up an IE (or any browser for that matter) window. What I mean is that, persay, I click some button that says "register online" in some program that is supposed to call up a browser and direct me to that page. But nothing happens. At...
So I've got a kinda big head, and although im not an audiophile, I surely am a comfort-phile. Right now I have these super-comfy headphones that I can wear for 10 hours straight with zero issues. I do tons of online gaming and I need a mic for that, and I have another head set that is truly...
