Moving data really isn't too much of an issue. There's a million ways to deal with it especially in a unified memory model. The problem with the GPU is power. NPUs idle at around 1 watt (or less) and even at load max its like 10 watts. The vast...

AMD NPU in a xbox and the game engine that use them, will not necessarily be like an Intel laptop NPU doing auto-sr. On panther lake the NPU is on the CPU tile not the GPU tile having that latency between the 2 (OS, memory system and games are...

MLID gives con artist vibes

“The internal build quality is robust, utilizing top-tier EPCOS bulk capacitors, highly efficient 200 A MOSFETs for the 12 V rail, and excellent soldering throughout. Because of the extremely dense component layout, the 120 mm FDB fan relies...

Someone Rebuilt Free, Open-Source Versions of Photoshop, Premiere, and Lightroom Using AI OCT 07, 2026 JEREMY GRAY Software engineer Brandon Thomas has built and released an open-source, free alternative to Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite, including...

? Turbotax has been web for a while, so has Office. Photoshop released a web version in 2023. Are you saying that people are seeking out the exe's over web?

Since web apps became a thing who is actually clicking on exe's? Certainly not grandma, or grandpa. They pretty much use the browser for everything. I would estimate 90% of the regular users do as well. We're at a place were a large amount of...

Windows (11) annoyed me one time too many last year so I decided to try Linux on my main desktop. I play games but not competive shooters, and my computer is also my TV so I watch TV shows and movies on it. LG OLED 65" CX, Ryzen 7950X, Radeon...

“Not giving up on AI”: Microsoft confirms Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs not dead, shipping in “tens of millions” a year.

Sales data doesn't have to "meaningful". It can be grouped however they want to shape how they want to be perceived. And no, you can't just "get the details, just because". Go ahead and try though.

Sure, but its not the same as "nobody wants an amd card"

Did what? Offered cards comparable to their competitor? Turning nVidia into Apple isn't a good idea for anyone.

lol, depends on the game. The Last Of Us Part 2 later Nvidia drivers is giving a water bug where the animations stop. The 5700 XT is plowing through that game over 110 to 150 FPS, FSR 4.1.1 Quality looking gorgeous in 4k. With FG over 240 FPS...

At this point GPU prices are only a problem if you don't buy AMD or Intel. Both are selling cards at reasonable prices. The MSRP for a 5070TI was $749. A 9070XT is right now at $790. Meanwhile you've got reviewers telling people don't buy video...

apparently the 9070 gre is now available below MSRP

Apple's refreshed Neo will use this new innovative technology called a heatsink.

One of the problems with the official statistics on melted connectors is that these days it’s not always a good idea to send the card back for an RMA. There’s a high chance the RMA will be rejected due to a “non-original adapter” or if the card...

Who said majority? Who cares about Steve? I'm saying those not having problems are depending upon luck due to inadequate engineering -- frankly, Nvidia is too. Time will tell.

100% it will fail given enough time. Marginal electrical connections get exponentially worse with age and number of cycles till something falls.
