Is there a BIOS update that needs to take place? ASUS' website says the latest update is to "be compatable with more Sata HDD." So im guessing this is the culprit.
The only thing that scares me is that the last time i had to update a BIOS...Something* went wrong and i ended up with a dead...
No dynamic disk in this situation was left UNTOUCHED, it was simply re-introduced the HDD to the freshly formated computer and it showed up as dynamic
**update** he found a utility that converted the disk from dynamic to basic without a format!! problem solved...
I have a friend (NO ITS NOT ME) who has a SATA I as a Master (OS / program) drive, and an IDE for storage. He has formated the SATA drive and on a fresh format the OS (Xp) calls the drive foreign.
What are our options besides disk recovery. Is there something that I'm missing?! I told him to...
