I might as well point at that an updated version of that PSU (ST45SF-G) has been out for a while now.

I managed to bring my external drive's temperature down from 60C to 33C. ********** was on track to creating the perfect cheap, no-frills external eSATA enclosure... and then they completely screwed the ventilation up.

I'm regretting not having bought another pair sooner. :( Shame, I hope Samsung releases a successor of some sort.
