Yeah that's the problem. Whenever I look up hubs or splitters they only accomdate that many fans. I need it to house 9. 6 at the very least.
But yeah they are PWM.
I have a custom loop that has 9 vardar fans. I've been running them with molex power connector's but now I'm ready to switch to a controller.
Does anyone know of a fan hub controller that can handle 9-10 fans and that connects to the motherboard via one cable to the cpu fan header?
I'd expect that theyd have one. But this is a big reason why I avoided aluminum kits. They no doubt work, but if you want to just add something off the shelf you can't. Not worth the few bucks saved imo.
And there you go...
Backplate installed. Sleeved the pump cables. Tidied up power cables with combs. 140mm exhaust fan added. Added two RGB strips. Res almost completely cleared of bubbles.
Very pleased with the GPU temps. Was able to overclock it. Tons of headroom left.
Very proud of this...
Manual says it only goes in one way and I'm okay with how it is. Bubbles seem to be disappearing. No leaks as far as I can tell.
Temps are actually great and benefitted the 1080 ti more than anything. 10c decrease on idle. Can now overclock the thing without artifacts showing up. I don't think...
Don't run in windowed or borderless fullscreen.
Make sure you have disabled fullscreen optimizations if you're on Windows 10.
Make sure V-Sync is set to off in the NVIDIA control panel.
Make sure you have increased the FPS cap in the game's console.
If you have a 4core CPU with SMT disable...
Yes, an intel X700k beats out the 2700x. But by a Small margin, not by HUNDREDS of frames. In game I am dipping into the 70-80's. There is definitely something going on. I'd GLADLY take 300FPS. Every benchmark Ive looked at has the 2700x paired with 1080ti with avg framerates of up to 500. This...
GPU block came in today. Unfortunately I got the wrong backplate. Old pump was leaking so I had to change that out as well. 360 slim rad barely fits, not cause of the radiator itself but access to the ports is limited. Had to remove the RGB fans. Atleast the temps are nice.
Done the steps above. The only thing that has had any effect is removing the fps cap. The thing is it only works in the menu. My fps does go up to 500+ but only in the menu. When getting in game it goes back down to the 100's or lower.
I am using the first rig in my sig. As far as I can tell there are no issues with any other game. When playing CSGO I get around 100-150 fps with everything on low settings. Im only gaming on 1080p. Other benchmarks state that I should be getting around 500fps Average in this game. Is there...
I redid the loop and put the pump/res in the front of the case. Will finalize it once my gpu block is done.
Not a fan of how the lines have to cross because the inlets and outlets on the block and pump are the opposite of where I would like them to be.
I really want the drives to stay where...
This is kind of a continued thread from here: https://hardforum.com/threads/noob-watercooling-kit-with-thick-rad.1973515/
This is what I have so far:
Had a hard time fitting my D5 140 pump and res but looked up a few builds in this case and the best place seems to be right against the...
