    Help with radiator fans.

Yeah that's the problem. Whenever I look up hubs or splitters they only accomdate that many fans. I need it to house 9. 6 at the very least. But yeah they are PWM.

    Help with radiator fans.

I have a custom loop that has 9 vardar fans. I've been running them with molex power connector's but now I'm ready to switch to a controller. Does anyone know of a fan hub controller that can handle 9-10 fans and that connects to the motherboard via one cable to the cpu fan header?

Does anyone make an aluminum-comaptible 2080 Ti block?

I'd expect that theyd have one. But this is a big reason why I avoided aluminum kits. They no doubt work, but if you want to just add something off the shelf you can't. Not worth the few bucks saved imo.

    First Watercooling Build

And there you go... Backplate installed. Sleeved the pump cables. Tidied up power cables with combs. 140mm exhaust fan added. Added two RGB strips. Res almost completely cleared of bubbles. Very pleased with the GPU temps. Was able to overclock it. Tons of headroom left. Very proud of this...

    First Watercooling Build

Manual says it only goes in one way and I'm okay with how it is. Bubbles seem to be disappearing. No leaks as far as I can tell. Temps are actually great and benefitted the 1080 ti more than anything. 10c decrease on idle. Can now overclock the thing without artifacts showing up. I don't think...

Don't run in windowed or borderless fullscreen. Make sure you have disabled fullscreen optimizations if you're on Windows 10. Make sure V-Sync is set to off in the NVIDIA control panel. Make sure you have increased the FPS cap in the game's console. If you have a 4core CPU with SMT disable...

    CSGO Minimal framerates

Yes, an intel X700k beats out the 2700x. But by a Small margin, not by HUNDREDS of frames. In game I am dipping into the 70-80's. There is definitely something going on. I'd GLADLY take 300FPS. Every benchmark Ive looked at has the 2700x paired with 1080ti with avg framerates of up to 500. This...

    First Watercooling Build

GPU block came in today. Unfortunately I got the wrong backplate. Old pump was leaking so I had to change that out as well. 360 slim rad barely fits, not cause of the radiator itself but access to the ports is limited. Had to remove the RGB fans. Atleast the temps are nice.

    CSGO Minimal framerates

Done the steps above. The only thing that has had any effect is removing the fps cap. The thing is it only works in the menu. My fps does go up to 500+ but only in the menu. When getting in game it goes back down to the 100's or lower.

    CSGO Minimal framerates

I am using the first rig in my sig. As far as I can tell there are no issues with any other game. When playing CSGO I get around 100-150 fps with everything on low settings. Im only gaming on 1080p. Other benchmarks state that I should be getting around 500fps Average in this game. Is there...

    First Watercooling Build

I redid the loop and put the pump/res in the front of the case. Will finalize it once my gpu block is done. Not a fan of how the lines have to cross because the inlets and outlets on the block and pump are the opposite of where I would like them to be. I really want the drives to stay where...

This is kind of a continued thread from here: https://hardforum.com/threads/noob-watercooling-kit-with-thick-rad.1973515/ This is what I have so far: Had a hard time fitting my D5 140 pump and res but looked up a few builds in this case and the best place seems to be right against the...

Noob watercooling kit with thick rad

So... I splurged and got a block for my 1080 ti. I figured since I was redoing the loop anyways I might as well get the thing over with. I got a slim 360 to mount to the front of the case. The idea of bleeding outside of the case would have been a good idea before but now that Im adding the gpu...

Noob watercooling kit with thick rad

As you can tell I kind of want to keep the look how it is. 3 rgb fans in the front and I actually like the 2 HDDs in the front. My idea is to actually mount it on the two bottom holes of the highest fan on the front. That way it clears the GPU while not reaching the top rad at all. Also, do...

    Where are my steam saves?

Ive had to reinstall windows a couple of times this month. Ive made several attempts to keep my saves on a hard drive but it never works. Noob watercooling kit with thick rad

Got the parts today and quickly installed... Took me a whopping 10+ hours... Spent a few hours just trying to locate a place to put the pump and res. Noob watercooling kit with thick rad

So got an update and my package will arrive (hopefully) on Thursday. Still kind of want a thicker rad. I will eventually include my 1080ti in the loop and I don't like the idea of having a rad in the front of my case as well.

Noob watercooling kit with thick rad

So I decided to not go with the aluminum kit because I likely cannot expand it later on. For now I want to stick with cooling my cpu but will include my 1080ti later on. Hey. Want to try my hand at water cooling and looking for advice on a kit or set for a simple loop for a cpu. I would get one of those kits like the ek one but they only come with slim rads. Re dellidded and used the super glue method When I opened it up the rtv had spread itself almost to the cores. I did a thorough cleaning job this time and I wasn't as fearful about the contact points. I reapplied the liquid metal and I still did a thin layer on the underside, a preference at...

Yeah, I did use RTV so that would account for mm of space that I had to compensate for. How is using super glue? I've seen someone superglue just the corners but I was scared that the liquid metal would just drip through the cracks. I'm actually quite done with RTV if there is a better...

My initial thought that one layer on the cores was enough. A ton of follow along videos did not show them putting anything on the IHS. I shot a message to James at Rockit and one of his recommendations was to put a layer on the IHS. That was my first time hearing it. Then after doing the whole...
