I didnt see what the big fuss is about. Ran like SHAT on my computer, with or without patches. Turned off dynamic lighting, helped a bit but the game got progressively slower and slower, memory leak possiby? Who knows.
I hated the way the guns handled, and the look of the people in general...
Don't know if its been said or not.. But the GT:HD Demo is not representative of GT5. GT:HD, if I recall correctly, is just the GT4 engine with higher polygon count models and textures. GT5 is supposed to have full damage modelling etc which GT:HD does not support.
Rofl what eye candy can his not do? Have you seen the game? It is NOTHING special... and if you turn on the "eye candy" (dynamic lighting) your FPS goes to shit! Then there's the constant CTD's, freezing, etc.
Grab a good HDTV and watch discovery channel's HD and tell me you don't see a difference. :rolleyes: My friends say the same thing till they see the comparison from a 480i/p digital discovery feed then my HD feed (same TV, speaker setup, everything)
I just setup my new PC, installed the drivers, set up the HD Audio Manager to 5.1 Speakers, set up th speakers and everything... and this is where the problems start.
With my old soundblaster live, when I set it to 5.1 and listened to music, I'd get sound from all 5 speakers + my sub. Now I...
I get the same thing with my Samsung LNS3251 HDTV. Playing Final Fantasy 12 gives me full top to bottom, but tiny little bars on the sides.. I don't get it but oh well.
