    i dont know a thing about fuses or how to find them, just read up on them that they save components from being fried. is it safe toi assume that all new electronics come made with fuses, and how do i check for eacho ne? power strip =/= surge protector?

    victim of a 3 day power outage here, but when power returned a few things would not turn on: in my room connected to 2 different power strips were a panasonic plasma TV, a computer, a small portable heater, a small lamp, and etc all stopped working (will not turn on). other things did work...

    talk about picky. mba is too flimsy/tiny! :P she is more interested in the xps 14z (sp?). costs 1000, but from what i know anything over 500ish would be because of gfx card?

    beats me what pretty means. your guess is as good as mine. exterior aesthetics is what i presume, without complete terrible quality on the display. and yes, less bulk is a big plus. will look into those mentioned in this thread, but any under 500? for general use, dont think anything over 500...

    ok thanks. what is a good temperature range to know that the fans dont need to be on? my mobo is a gigabyte z68 ud3h fan controller? what do you mean? seems like everything is plugged in. usb cables plugged into mobo.
