I have never done a water-cooling setup before, and I would like to give it a shot. I am not a huge overclocker, but I would like to remove the noise and heat of having fans in my room. I would like to build a system where I can actually have a radiator outside my window.
I have some...
Motherboard: Gigbyte GA-770TA-UD3
USB Device: Seagate 500GB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive
Problem: I have the USB 3.0 drivers installed which are listed as downloads on the mobo's page. They installed fine and I can see the USB 3.0 hub in device manager as shown below.
However, when I...
Right, I haven't modded before but I do know that just from researching. I definitely want a bigger HD in it, without question. I'm confused about what happens when someone uses NDURE...does it flash the BIOS? Does it make it able to recognize a bigger HD?
I've read the tutorial at instructables showing how to modify the OEM Xbox hard drive. That tutorial asks you to hot-swap the OEM HD out and into your PC, so that it is in an unlocked state. Then you use your PC with NDURE booted up to mod it.
What I'd like to do is put a larger HD (250GB)...
I've slipstreamed the drivers into a windows XP disc, which is a process I've done before. I get this message:
The file nvatabus.sys is corrupt. Press any key to restart.
And I can't continue installing windows. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I am using the drivers provided...
So I recently decided I wanted to reformat my main computer and put my two 250G disks into a mirrored raid setup. I have a shitty Foxconn motherboard, but I seem to have gotten through the RAID setup fine. I did specify in the BIOS that I wanted both disks to be in a mirrored RAID setup.
I...
Hi. I am looking for a big computer mouse. I am so sick of my hand aching because it's too big for a standard sized mouse. I want something light but physically taking a lot of volume, so that my hand can fully wrap around it. Do these even exist?
My friend and I were having a debate. He said that SSD's will be the most revolutionary hardware change of the past 10 years. His reason is that since there are no moving parts, it will be at least possible for a computer to have no moving parts.
I said that I think Multiples cores in a...
Hi. I have heard several times on this forum that you can create your own wireless router using linux on an old machine.
Can any of you link me to some guides to do so?
Hi. Where I work, it seems we are always sharing CD and DVD image files. It's always a treat when they are ISO's, but there is no standard in the office yet so some are UIF's, DAA's, MDF and other proprietary formats. This makes it very difficult to use them.
Is there a flexible program to...
I do appreciate your suggestions, but essentially my clients need a CD. Many of these people live in europe and mailing can cost a ton of time and money. And to any one who said anything about "if my clients are smart", the thing is, almost none of them are smart with computers at all...
Because that requires mailing. Exactly the thing I am trying to avoid. I think once someone comes up with a program to do this, it should be a pretty big hit.
Hi. I'm wondering if there is such thing as a program that can take an image of a CD or DVD and create an EXE to burn the image. I often end up sending CDs out to my clients for various things, and often they don't understand what images are, and it is very time consuming.
Does anyone know...
