Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
No issues here except ASUS has not released any Win 7 drivers for the G50, and a few of them tweak out because the drivers/software only work with Vista or Higher....
So, what crap that wouldn't install, I grabbed those from the G51 and it works great.
Can someone recommend me a good TV tuner for a laptop? I am looking to ditch my ancient CRT TV and dual purpose my laptop, as I am stuck in a college dorm and space is at a premium. Output is going to a 24in Samsung LCD @ 1920x1200 with a HDMI -> DVI-D adapter. The laptop itself is a ASUS...
I would like to announce that my s754 is still chugging away just fine as my backup server. Not the same stuff as in my sig, as I went through 2 upgrade cycles from then to now, but it is running 8 SCSI 10k Cheetah drives and 4 IDE drives, 1gb ram, and a 6800GT(AGP) I found laying around. Sadly...
Is the rad or the air coming out of the rad getting warm? It almost sounds like your pump isn't flowing enough, there is a clog somewhere(leading back to the first one) or your CPU block isn't seated very good.
The only time modding something to get SLI on the cheap in a practical fashion was the nForce 4 Ultra to SLI mod. That was a physical hardware mod, when you start the limbo with drivers, its for sure going to be cut off eventually.
Sorry, It's been awhile. My last login was in 2007 sometime.
Anyways, I somehow got it working and killed off Windows 7. I killed the Bootmgr with vistabootpro and then copied the ntldr, the whatever.com one and boot.ini into the vista partition, and it loaded just fine.
Ok, So I have a dual boot XP/7 setup going. They both worked wonderfully together until I managed to screw it up. This has me completely stumped
So I needed to reclaim my 2tb raid 5 array from 7 and give it all back to XP. I used acronis disk manager to move the 7 partition to another...
Been doing that for years when I install new blocks and tubing for leak testing.
I'm thinking that running the computer during the flush might help break down stuff since the vinegar wash will be nice and warm ( /kill the rad fans).
zacrobmer: While the oxyclean is tempting, ill just stick...
Would it hurt anything to run some distilled and vinegar through the loop while the computers running and then a few good distilled flushes. I don't exactly have tons of time to rip everything apart and give it a good cleaning. Only thing I'm wondering about is the 655 pump. I think my blocks...
To add to my ghetto laptop and waterblock way back in this thread
Ghetto 8800 style GFX cooler for my Geforce 4 MX440 PCI. Fan is the extra that Asus sends with their A8N32 for the wierdass chipset cooler, a heatsink from a Pentium 1 with MMX, duct tape well ducting system, coat hanger...
good luck going from sA to s939 without reinstalling, when i moved from a 1700+ to a s754 3200+ even with uninstalling the drivers windows just refused to boot no matter what i did
i didnt think there would be another card as equaly expensive as my 7800GTX 512Mb
and whats with these cards getting bigger and bigger, pretty soon instead of addin cards, they should call them motherboard expansions
