Would it hurt anything to run some distilled and vinegar through the loop while the computers running and then a few good distilled flushes. I don't exactly have tons of time to rip everything apart and give it a good cleaning. Only thing I'm wondering about is the 655 pump. I think my blocks should be able to handle it.

Think of it like flushing your cars cooling system.
 
If you have a spare PSU sitting around plug your pump into it and jump the green and black wires with a paperclip
 
I use white distiled vinegar on a every few months basis to flush my system, I've had zero problems with any component, however just keep in mind that vinegar is acidic, so only let it run through for a half hour or so.

I honestly couldn't tell you the "best" ratio of water to vinegar, but I just poured a 1/4 of a cup into a gallon of distilled water. It gives me several uses, before needing a new batch.

I came up with a contraption I made with a gallon bucket I added a couple of 1/2 bards to. I fill this with whatever I am cleaning/flushing with to make life a bit easier. I just have to disconnect the bucket (quick disconnects) and empty then refill and continue to flush, save time and keeps me from actually having to refill the actual loop. You just have to keep the bucket above the pump.

Incidentally when I switched from distilled water+ antifreeze to distilled+iodine (with absolutely no performance hit) I flushed my system with Oxyclean. Seriously, mixed up a batch in a gallon jug (think it's 1oz per gallon) strained it through a coffee filter and ran it through for 10 minutes, then flushed 3 times. I had quite a bit of "gunk and junk" floating and laying in the bottom of my bucket when I was done, it looked like coagulated Pentosin, but the block was shiny again (old DD TDX) and the tubes while stained, were not cloudy anymore.

Been doing that for years when I install new blocks and tubing for leak testing.
I'm thinking that running the computer during the flush might help break down stuff since the vinegar wash will be nice and warm ( /kill the rad fans).

zacrobmer: While the oxyclean is tempting, ill just stick to vinegar. Thanks, all I needed was to know if someone has done it and their computer is still going afterwards.
 
Yeah I wouldn't do it for every flush, but it works well for those hardcore yearly cleanings.
 
It's been flushed with just straight up distilled, but the cooling system is going on over a year without a major clean job.
