Well, time has gone by, and I am now running a 5080 after waiting for the prices to finally get back to MSRP. As for life changes, those are also complete in most ways, but I wanted to share what occurred with my ex. It turned out that it was deeper than myself or her family thought, and she...

Shopping therapy perhaps hehe, but since I have to have the house listed by the end of June, I am further delayed /sigh But hey, might get whatever is top then. Won't have a house payment then at least. She is doing much better, but honestly part of the divorce is to kick her in the behind to...

Thanks. My purchasing plans took a small detour due to my wife drinking my money away for the past few months and my finding out. I'm celebrating my Valentine's day with my soon to be ex-wife in Detox so it may be a little longer, but if I can find a good deal on a 6800 I will try to snag it...

5600X actually, with 16 gigs of RAM and a EVO NVMe drive, so the rest isn't bad. I'm still shopping honestly.

I just have a 4k Samsung TV as primary and a Dell 27"as secondary running at 19x12 resolution. Pretty sure the TV just has a 60 refresh. Sorry, on my phone...

Gotta use Amazon gift cards, yay Christmas, but I have a 1080 now. Trying to keep it under $500 too, as I don't want to add too much of my own $ into it. It looks like I could get this: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0BCR4FKLB/?coliid=IK7E535Z5PXWP&colid=CTYNC0BWM1DB&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it...

Yes, but I want a box I don't have to build... One might almost consider me lazy in this, and I just saw that Veeam certifies QNAP NAS with their product which leads me to do that... NOT because I am not already building a home grown box at home using Zorin Linux on a gaming PC to also be a...

I'm working at a place with a bunch of offices scattered around, and with 15-50 people at remote offices. I'm trying to set up a local VEEAM repository at each location for their desktops/laptops and I need a good solid decently fast NAS or such for on site storage. I don't need the 10GB, as...

Well, I ended up in a meeting that morning, and couldn't get out of it in time to snag the proc. On the other hand, I'm feeling a little more secure in my job... so eh, right now, that works for me.

It sounds more and more like it is too much to bother with, which is a shame as I was hoping a 8 core cpu for free would be worth it...

I was given the opportunity to raid a Dell T630 but I cannot take the entire box. It only has 64 gig ram and 1 TB of HD space, and while I might swipe the perc, it is basically useless except on a similar motherboard... BUT the CPU could be useful on other motherboards, if I can find one...

It wasn't as if he was "jacked in". He isn't Dodger, the technology isn't there yet, and this entire topic seems lame. At best.

Just another sign that the "company" is likely not worth working for...
