I will take a look at the PCB and see what I can do. If nothing happens, I will contact WD for an RMA. Windows 7 is on one of the Intel SSD drives and my files (music, pictures, videos) is on the 1TB drive.
I will give that a shot. Currently the PC is in IDE mode but when I tried to connect the WD HDD, I got a BSOD 101 and have gotten the BSOD 9C as well while the HDD was connected. I've read this needed more VCore, but I reset everything back to normal as soon as I was having problems initially...
Been messing with my computer for the past 1-1.5 hrs figuring out what could be the cause of the PC not booting. Haven't checked to see if the PCB is hot (I assume on the WD HDD right), but I do so probably tomorrow or Tuesday when I get my NZXT HUE RGB Controller in the mail.
Doesn't sound...
While my WD Caviar Black (1TB) drive is powered up, my computer WILL NOT boot at all and gives me a system failure error. Currently, the drive is not powered up and my computer boots up normally. Is this a sign of HDD failure and if not, what can I do for my computer to recognize the drive in...
I just bought the NH-D14 and would like to upgrade to the Haswell chipset next year. Will I be able to use the one I have now when I upgrade my processor and motherboard?
Yeah, but you have to remove the mobo to fit the provided bracket because I installed mine today. Is pretty quiet but on my i7 920, idle temps are between 40-45 with it being 70+F in my room.
After responding to my previous post, I realized you had waterblocks on the GPUs. Not sure how my stock reference card will do, but should find out soon enough. I may have to get rid of my GTX 480 and go with the newer AMD cards which produces less power, quieter, and less heat.
seano, what are the idle and load temps for your GTX 480s? WIth my HAF 932, my GTX 480 will idle anywhere from 50-55C and load from 95-100C, which is not good I know. I am hoping the Switch 810 will cool my components, especially the GTX 480, a little better.
One last question, is it better to place 3 fans in the top and 1 in the front, or 2 in the top and 2 in the front for better airflow? I have three additional fans coming so a total of seven will be used in the case.
If I decide to add an additional 140mm fan up top, one for the GPU fan (on HDD bay) and another on the front of the case (all stock NZXT fans), how loud will the PC be since the fans are rated at 26.52 dBA? Also, is it worth adding another fan up top and in the front for better cooling?
I was wondering if it would be a good choice to "upgrade" my Prolimatech Megahalem to the DH-14?? At 3.6GHz, I get load temps between 57-62 degrees using LinX with an ambient temperature of 27C (very hot here in Charlotte). Idle in my case is around 40-45C. Would this be a worthy purchase or...
What about the NZXT Switch 810 full tower case?
- It can hold up to 6 3.5" drive bays
- Has 3 dust filters (one for the PSU, one for the front bottom of case, and one in the front where the 140mm fan is located)
- Excellent cable management
- Is wide to fit all varieties of motherboards +...
