Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

As for budget, $ 75-100 is fine if it extends life for 3 yrs.
But is that realistic?

Photoshop is the only thing demanding I do beyond surfing web.
All the new cards are unknown to me,

- What to get?
Thanks

I lost the key for a 3 user version. I do however have a backed up image of two systems that have it installed. Both have bugs and had to be reinstalled and now I need the key.
MS help desk says I will need third party sw for this and did not want to talk more. So what is up ,is it out there...
I am looking for a fan for several heat sinks I have around. I am building a system on the Gigabyte GA 970A-D3 G Skills Ram and Phenom II x4 965 BE. The stock heatsink is nice but the fan is a joke. I acumilated several big heat pipe coolers over the years looking for one to fit a HTPC build...
Thanks for the helpful replies. I see I can put off an upgrade till I see I need it. Also, 64 bit Vista was said to be a hassle with little real benifit to most folks. Has that changed with Win 7? Also, can I upgrade to win 7 64 bit later without having to reinstall everything?

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 with a 4800X2 and 4 g 800 speed Ram.
I've been running XP but am upgrading to Win 7.
I was planning to upgrade the CPU to something like a Phenom II X3 720 2.8 GHZ, for $119 at New Egg, but I find it hard to judge the benifits.
I use this for Photo editing...
I have an HTPC and am trying to see how the Temps on the HDD are. I can't get any readings from SpeedFan v4.34.

I have 2 stock AMD hs sitting around and am wondering if I could just put a 92mm fan on one and be better than just stock cooling. This would be for HTPC where noise is big issue. I like the large fan to cool other parts also.
Surely some one has reported experience with this.
Thanks, Bob
HDHomeRun is a network based product with dual tuners. You must have a wired 100-1000 lan. You can then watch live on two systems at different locations around the house. You could use BTV in the den and VMC in the bedroom at the same time.
I have mine in the basement where the cable feed...
You can use the power. Its good for running commercial skip, different post processing task. I Overclocked a x2 4800+ to 2.9 to get rid of frame skipping. Solvers a lot of issues.
