Which video card to update old sys.

I have a 6-7 yr old sys. with :
GA-970A-D3
(rev. 3.0)
MB

Considering updating video card as Win 10 does not like my old one.

Photoshop is the only thing demanding I do beyond surfing web.

All the new cards are unknown to me,

- Is update worthwhile?
- What to get?

you can put whatever you want on that system provided your psu is up to snuff. you wont get the absolute max performance of the 1070s and up but they will work.
 
Need more information,

CPU, how much RAM you have for Photoshop ect. Are you planning on playing any games? Or is it just for PS and web surfing?

dual monitors 1920x1200, 23"
250 Watt psu

not doing any gaming.

As for budget, $ 75-100 is fine if it extends life for 3 yrs.
But is that realistic?
