how is that ok or an excuse? And yes, she looks worse in the game but the game graphics are from I think 2015/2016 era.

Isn't it a bit early to call that since you haven't completed the game? Not an excuse but for me importance is the gameplay and story and both are fine.
Sure I explicitly mentioned my playtime and for now these are the comments.Isn't it a bit early to call that since you haven't completed the game?
It's likely the other way around. Most character animations are procedurally generated and then tweaked to remove errors by hand. In the case of Mass Effect Andromeda, the tweaking hadn't been done at all when the game launched leading to the animations being lambasted for being terrible. That's more than likely what's going on here.I'm wondering what happened with this game. I feel that it was rushed out the door. The in game characters have no eye animations. They all have that deer in the headlights death stare look to them. The cut scenes are laughably bad. I'm going to assume that the cutscenes were manually animated because the characters look like puppets. The sad part is that the game has some potential but they probably ran out of time or funding and released whatever they had ready.
Can't say anything about the in game, but the cutscenes were supposedly mocapped. It's likely the other way around. Geez, I will never again listen to your game recommendations! Enjoy though.Actually the story is decent and the characters are good enough. Finally a linear game to play that isn't a complete turd. I am having some fun with it. Halfway I think through chapter 2 and 2.3 hours in already. Not a bad start and much better than Space Marine 2 imo.

Not exactly. Your opinions just look a bit suspect when "gaming journalists" and/or paid shills do the same to bring the bottom line opinions & ratings upwards...People can have different choices you know. It’s a strange concept.
wtf are you smoking man? Must be good? I state my opinions as I like different things. For example I don’t like Elden Ring yet everyone loves it. Space Marine 2 is a turd but everyone loved it. I liked Uncharted series just like everyone else did but there might be few who did not. I even liked Ass Creed Mirage but hated ghost recon breakpoint. Not sure what is your point here. Not exactly. I think DA Veilguard is going to bomb, so hopefully you don't get burned by that one. I received this & SM2 for "free" from AMD, but I'm not excited for these choices (SM2's lack of true ultrawide support, not the shoddy port patch job they brought).I never claimed I am a fan of this. It is just something to tie me over till BLOPS6 and Dragon Age. Plus I wanted a linear game and this one fits the bill.
Also I am not making claims of asking people to go out and buy it. I got it with AMD bundle code I got from someone for 10 bucks including this and space marine 2.
Even a lot of the shill sites like IGN are giving this game bad reviews. That tells you that its especially bad. So bad that even the mouth pieces at the mainstream media outlets can't save face or make any convincing arguments favoring this game. Sometimes something is so bad its universally accepted as trash. That being said, sometimes people like bad things. I like some objectively bad movies and games myself. Not exactly. Realistic doesn't have to mean homely or ugly.Poor marketing, buggy and poor gameplay seem to be the killer here. I hadn't heard of this game until recently. Personally I don't care for the Asian waifu look in games, though I prefer realistic looking characters. FF7 Remake is a good example of characters that look nice but also quite detailed.

I do agree with you in that the marketing was lacking here. That tells me that at some point Bandai/Namco figured out they had a turd on their hands and didn't want to burn good money on marketing. I think they did the bare minimum to try and generate some revenue, but I don't think there was all that much confidence in the finished product. It's widely known that Sweet Baby Inc. had a big hand in this game and its source material. Gamers will avoid it on that basis alone. All the usual trailers, gameplay streams before release, etc. were done and they simply got no engagement what so ever. They had a max of some 300 people watch the gameplay live stream. Trailers for the game got super low view counts and reactions were overwhelmingly negative. I mean, the gameplay and trailers themselves don't look or sound all that interesting to me. People have come to expect garbage games out of Sweet Baby Inc and its ilk.
It's no surprise the response to the game was either disdain or apathy. The latter of which is worse than people hate streaming it or simply bashing it.
Reflector is a disruptive video game studio driving innovation in entertainment by creating immersive story-driven universes. These expansive worlds consist of interconnected tales that can be enjoyed independently or consumed together, allowing audiences to shape unique, personalized adventures.
Bandai Namco acquired Reflector 4 years ago, probably based on the big promises being made about the IP. They were definitely too deep into it. You just have to wonder how long the game was in this bad a state with the competence of the diverse developers that Bamco pushed it out the door.Even IGN says it is janky. I watched a gameplay video and had no idea what the hell was going on. I'm not sure if it was cut in such a way or if the animations were that bad. It was impossible to tell what was going on. Seems like at its best it is a generic action adventure game. At worst, the Steam reviews claim it is a buggy crappy game. The developer seems to be new, in Quebec. Probably ex-Ubisoft employees.
...guess it didn't pan out as they hoped.
Bandai Namco was probably too deep into it when they realized they had a turd on their hands.
Well I still need to finish this and at Chapter 12 I forgot about it for a day or two lol.
And Forspoken sold an estimated 170,000-200,000 units on just Steam. It looks like they just sold 1 copy of this game going by this threadI think they watched Forspoken trailers and said "Lets do that, but worse".
