It's been pushed back so many times.
Wait at least a day after it comes out and for actual reviews of the fully publicly released version. 343 has a terrible track record. Is November 8th solid? Or maybe not?
It is, if you like Halo games. The last few hours is repetitive and a bit of a slog but overall I enjoyed it.How is the single player campaign on PC? Is it worth picking up just for a fun shooter to play through? Does it look good on an OLED display?
Freaking amazing. Loved the campaign. The graphics are sharp and good in an old school way. One of the best games on PC right now. Multiplayer is mediocre but I got some hours out of it. Not sure why this title gets so much flak. How is the single player campaign on PC? Is it worth picking up just for a fun shooter to play through? Does it look good on an OLED display?
Winter Update is now Live
The update brings a number of major new features to the game, including campaign network co-op play, a new battle pass, and beta access to Forge, Halo's long-awaited powerful creation tool...
Had the same problem, played basically on release via gamepass. I just tried to minimize it as best I could and moved on. Probably has been fixed by now but I can't really check since my sub lapsed a while ago.Did they ever fix the jitter with this one? It would be butter smooth in the prologue area, but as soon as I hit the open world, it was like a different game. I tried every setting under the sun and never could get it where I wanted.

Well as you can see it takes 343 a while to get around to things. Since I already beat it I'm not going back either.I'll probably download it again and give it another go once I'm done with God of War. I kept it installed for 4-5 months waiting on a fix. One never came. I eventually uninstalled it in the Spring.
343 Industries will be now known as Halo Studios, and they are sun setting the Slipspace engine, replacing it with UE5.
The Slipspace engine will still live on in the newest updates for Infinite though.

I disagree. Halo was incredibly popular for a reason, and since Halo 3, there really hasn't been anything quite like it. 343 have just released turd after turd for nearly 2 decades. The open world aspect of Infinite was fine, it's just that 343 handled it poorly, with only ONE biome type, incredibly repetitive mission design etc.No real need for more Halo games. It was good for a console shooter at 30 frame rates with its floaty, slow movement and shooting. Good for a controller and low frame rate console of the time period. Yeah they sped it up a bit with Reach and Infinite, which were decent enough (except for the open world part of Infinite), but they're quite limited to what they can do with the story and weapon/vehicle design. They can keep messing up the established lore or they can create a new sci fi FPS (that isn't open world) that is similar but has some freedom to create new stories and enemy designs.
