T-minus 1 day before you put it back in the box.
Yeah I didn't think it would be such a noticeable jump but 240hz looks way smoother than 120 or 144hz to me.
It's so smooth that 120hz looks choppy to me when switching to my OLED.
Thanks dude!
man cave looks sick!
Thanks, I also got legal full auto machine guns, electric dirt bikes.....and chiahuahahahasss in there
The resolution for games just looks so crap compared to 4K. Like games seriously look blurry to me. Also mine won't wake from sleep 25% of the time and I have to pull power so not sure if I will opt for a replacement or just get rid of it.
LOVE IS LOVE!!!!!Did you ever move the RealDoll to the closet like you mentioned?
How is Claire by the way?
I don't mean in terms of PPI. I mean fidelity in games. The lower res makes aliasing and shimmering super visible to me + stuff at a distance is just a messy blur where as at 4K they are defined and much more detailed.Wait, are you talking about 4K from smaller screen sizes?
Because I was going to say, I think the 109ppi the Neo G9 has is pretty good and fairly standard these days yeah?

The best way I can describe it is with these images, yes I know it's not a 4K/1440p comparison but the idea is the same:

Games just look bad to me @ 1440p after using 4K for 4-5 years now.
Yeah next year has some promising stuff coming. I would buy a 32" that sacrifices a bit of brightness or FALD zones for a faster panel. It's something I could actually use for a while instead of always going back to OLED since the blacks and pixel response spoil to the point of no return. I don't think I'll be interested in that 34" UW OLED since it will be 1440p again probably. At this point it's 4K+ or nothing.
Yes, this is what always annoyed me about 1440pee...even long before 4k was a thing. Jaggies, shimmering, soft blurrness to anything past 25 yards. 1440pee SUCKS, has always sucked and will continue to suck long after we are dead and gone and the rise of AI continues on mankinds journey to the stars.
The only reason NEO is still on my desk is....240hz is super addicting...the only other 240hz displays out there have shitty non fald backlights and shittier colors with shitty contrast.
Will the NEO survive my Jan 16th return date......probably not. I am waiting to see ETA one some of these newer 4k 160+ refresh rate monitors, newer OLEDs and that newer 34" oled thing...before I make final call.
If you could only have one display, I think the best gaming display is the PG32UQX despite its drawbacks....but I have no interest in buying a second one for rig #2....that is why im playing with NEO and waiting to see what else is coming before returning. I think this weekend Ill try my second rig on the C177 and see if I like that experience better than the NEO.
Well that was fast. I'm waiting for a firmware update to see if my wake from sleep issue is resolved. If not, it's going back.
Doubt it. It took them 3 monitor releases and multiple firmwares to get the 32:9's working properly to start with before mini-LED. Don't forget the CHG90 and CRG9 that proceeded the G9.Well guys, samsung may have learnt something from the g9 and neo g9 failures and hopefully made this the end game monitor:

What do you like about the Neo more then the PG32?LOL OMG....just played some FPS on PG32 and am already missing NEO....LOL just shoot me now.
Why buy a G9 when ultrawide OLED exists? Do you absolutely need 32:9?What's the status of the G9 right now? Did Samsung address all the issues? Is it safe to buy? Just asking since Samsung dropped to price by more than half.
Just curious on the state of the G9. I really don't intent to purchase it.Why buy a G9 when ultrawide OLED exists? Do you absolutely need 32:9?
Nope, especially HDR is still garbage and bugged as hell. What's the status of the G9 right now? Did Samsung address all the issues? Is it safe to buy? Just asking since Samsung dropped to price by more than half.
