Is it possible to mod this case?

Here are some pics of the case:

It supports 3 frontal fans(12cm), 1 rear(8cm) and allegedly a top one, though I'm not sure on how to install it since I see no holes.

This case has poor airflow and my GPU is suffering. If I didn't want to change cases, how would I go about modifying it to install a side or bottom fan? Is it possible? As you can see, I even lifted it off the desk a bit and reduced another 2-3° with that.

If it's too much of a hassle, I will just get another case(hopefully with good airflow).

You're welcome.

But seriously Dremel, fan grilles, self tapping screws, and optionally filters should get the job done.

first move that hdd to the bottom, then there are a couple things you can do. for front intake, cut out every other slat to allow more air flow. remove any intake filters to prevent choking off the air flow, just clean it more often. you could also take out your pci slot covers to allow the gpu to pull in some fresh air from them or even add a small intake fan to feed them more fresh air.

I'm assuming that's a tempered glass front panel on there, and if so, does it appear simple enough to remove the tempered glass portion? You could pop that off, and attach modders mesh to increase airflow. https://www.mnpctech.com/products/round-modders-mesh

If it's plastic, you could old school dremel a 120mm hole for increased intake.

Alternatively, Rosewill sells a similar looking case but with a mesh front that's affordable (at least here in Canada).

This thread has made me realize that it's been forever since I had to use my dremel on anything case related. Everything's so modular and user friendly now.

That's a good idea, since specially the bottom fan seems to hardly be doing its job. And yes, It does seem to be relatively easy to remove the front panel.

Thanks everyone. Those are solid ideas. I'm online right now looking into buying another fan to install as a rear exhaust. I'll see how that goes first before starting to mod the case. If I still feel the need to install another fan, which do you think would benefit me the most? A side mounted fan or a bottom one?

the only place you can put fans is in the front and in the top back. your biggest issue for poor airflow right now is that the hdd is blocking the front intake. it looks like you should be able to move it to the bottom over that slotted area.

I just used my corded DeWalt 3/8" drill a little while ago on my Lian Li 011 Dynamic Razer Edition to add a reset button... it still happens time to time...

Hole saw bit works so much better for fans than a dremel. Can add a fan in seconds and have a perfectly cut circle. Assuming you have a drill of course. The bit is $30 or less. That one will go through anything. If it's something you'd never use again, you can half that for something cheaper.

Not sure if your case supports it, but if you can clean up your drive cage and put two fans in the front blowing in with filters , then one fan in the back blowing out. That's worked best for me in the past. After that I would look at more filtered intakes on the bottom. If it's still too hot, take the sides off and put it under the desk.

I actually removed it once. It only reduced like 1°c. There's obstruction caused by the case's structure itself. Still, 1°c is very little.

So, a few things:

One, your pictures are crap and don't show us anything about the case. Looking at your motherboard, or a closed glass panel doesn't help anything.

Based on this:
http://www.bluecase.com.br/home/index.php?route=product/product&path=33&product_id=195

Your case should have 2 intake fan slots. Move that Hard Drive off the front panel, and install two fans.

It also has a top fan mount. Experiment with intake or exhaust on it.

Beyond that? We'd have to see more of the case

The ? OP should ask himself is whether it's be cheaper to sell his case and buy another one.

I appreciate you trying to find more info on the case, I should have supplied those infos on my OP.

I have better pics here: https://imgur.com/a/eFKTxiw

Right now I have 3 frontal intake fans on it and the PSU on top doing the exhaust work. I'm waiting till I have the new fan I ordered in hands, to install it as a rear exhaust before modding the case. The only reason the HDD is still in there, is because when I removed it, it only decreased 1°c. I'll take it out again once I remove the frontal glass. Maybe then it will have a bigger impact on the temps.

Okay, so your case is crap.

You have 3 intake fans sandwiched between a sheet of glass/acrylic on the front, and a large sheet of metal behind them. What are they exactly supposed to do?

Step 1: Remove the acrylic from the front if you can. (Does it pop out or something? That'd be best)

Step 2: Remove the Hard Drive from the front, foam tape it to the case bottom or something, that's NBD.

Step 3: Dremel the fuck out of that sheet of metal. Remove the entire section I drew on in orange.

After you do that, your fans might actually be able to blow some air somewhere.

Yeah, the case is bad. Inexperience got me here. I trusted the guy at the shop to pick it for me, since 90% of the cases looked the same.

All right then, I'll start by installing the fan on the rear and removing the acrylic on the front. Then I'll carry out the more drastic changes. Thanks again.

On a side note, this i5 9400F is cool as hell, even in this case and with the stock cooler, it mostly stays within 50-63°c(on load). That's pretty good.

I started modding on old emachine towers.
Those had bad flow, but they were awesomely compact for the time and used standard form factors so I really liked them....point being, if you want to keep your case, you definitely can. ;)

Just plan cuts and draw it out. Start by only changing what you need to accomplish the goals in mind or it’ll get overwhelming quick.
