The life paths trailer is the first thing that has interested me in this game so far.

I bet the music has a slider- play whatever deathmetal you find appropriate. I have to admit, I hope the music changes per area or scene. I want to get caught thinking 'I like this group best by ideals and goals, but that group has the best grooves'...Cool. Really not a fan of any songs Samurai (Refused) have put out so far (genre is just not my cup of tea), but in general, I really like what I see.
Are you planning to buy a new video card before then? I assume that raytracing will be the way to go with this title, but I imagine that the 2080Ti won't be enough to max this game out in 4k.Well then, I have submitted my vacation request for the week of November 19th. After everything 2020 has thrown at us so far (provided nothing worse happens to screw all this up), this game will be a nice escape. Something to look forward to anyway, which is something all by itself.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Ampere vs RDNA2.
I'm curious in general to hear what people plan to do. I have a Radeon VII, which I bet will get me to around 4k 30fps (average) obviously without raytracing and some level of compromise on visual detail. The cheap way is probably just to play on PS4 Pro or XB1X. I don't think CP2077 will also launch on next gen simultaneously (if it will, they haven't announced as such).

Same here, but if either company drop a card that can do 3440x1440 with ray-tracing before November I'll be hard pressed to not buy... I just don't feel like rebuilding my loop.
I'm not just buying a new Ampere GPU for Cyberpunk but I'm also building a new system (my current system is literally 10 years old minus the GPU and SSD upgrade)...ideally I would love to get a Zen 3 CPU but I'm getting tired of waiting and might just go with a Ryzen 3700X
Might be worth waiting a bit longer. Zen 3 should be out before Cyberpunk and it could lead to deals on Zen 2 parts, even though its likely that you won't be able to find Zen 3 for a while after launch (unless you're lucky).
Street Kid: Judge Dredd
Nomad: Mad Max
Corpo: Blade Runner
What more can ya want? Personally, leaning toward Corpo asshole

I'm personally going to do Corpo first. Seems like the Corpo option is you leaving that life behind after finding out what corporations are really about. Which is something I identify with.
Probably will be a stealth run. Perhaps Netrunner? I tend to like sniping and hacking.
After that maybe a Nomad brute force playthough.
It's not. The devs have stated that the badlands are one of the regions of the game. Explicitly.my reasoning for going with Nomad first is that it might be the only way you get to travel outside of Night City
Offtopic but has anyone ordered the "The World of Cyberpunk 2077" book and actually had it ship yet? I ordered from Amazon after Night City Wire e2 which I believe was a few days after it initially released. Still says not shipped yet for me.
Pre-ordered mine when it became available, and received it on time. The entire book is basically nothing but a backstory about the world. There's a ton of info about the city, its history, and how it became what it is in 2077, referencing wars from recent past as well as other key events that helped shape the world. It's written from a perspective of a journalist that tries to give an overview of the city to a tourist vising the city. Each chapter introduces new characters. So when Judy Alvarez is introduced, she's the guide for braindance and she talks about various aspects of it. Then the next chapter covers different neighborhoods, and it basically starts out with "Today I meet with so-and-so, that is going to take me around...." and it almost reads like a short story. It's really fun considering it's just a book about a video game.Yea I'm looking forward to it whenever it arrives. Does it have a decent amount of backstory and information about the world?
I know it won't be the same as reading the Witcher series before playing the games because there was so much source material, but knowing a good amount about the world always adds to the experience.

It isn't. In an interview, it was confirmed that you can visit the Badlands anytime you wish.
