Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

wtf, how is it even possible that 16GB of ram isn't enough? This screams of poor engine design/etc.

Anyone know if this game will be available on Origin Premier? Nothing I can see on any of EA's webpages tells me as such.

this look's interesting . Looks like i might brake down and buy this from EA.
watching yt video's

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order plays like a safe, conventional adventure with great lightsabers

Fallen Order nails the feeling of dangerous lightsaber combat, but its adventure didn't fully grab me in a hands-on preview...I don't want to invoke the Dark Souls comparison, but dammit, Jedi Fallen Order makes it impossible not to...In both games, resting respawns the world's enemies, and if you die, you have to defeat the enemy that killed you to get your experience points back

But where Dark Souls' entire setting is deeply rooted in death and rebirth and souls stuck in limbo, and the world is brutally (and consistently) deadly in every way, Fallen Order uses the system because it's mechanically effective, without worrying about the internal logic of it...

Yeah, still looks like an incredibly bland game. I think my prediction of widespread 6/10-7/10 scores will hold true.

I think it'll score in the 7-8 range...the Dark Souls bonfire mechanic makes no sense in this...it's like they are trying to copy or attract Souls fans with a mechanic that feels totally out of place in a SW game

I won't pre-order any game. Been too many half assed attempts to push stuff out before it's finished properly. I always wait for reviews, or the day one 6 gig+ patches we have seen other games experience, and for the game to mature a bit before purchase.

Too many times have we been fooled into something that looks done and polished, only to end up being the ones who pay to be guinea pigs.

This game looks decent, but not pre-order decent.

This week Friday 15th is the launch some people say it's going to be a generic Star Wars game but it's probably going to be the latest most innovative one at that.

This game will not be innovative. It’s a by the numbers adventure/action title.

It’ll be fun though.

Not liking the combat style much. Looks awkwardly slow paced and one of those "hit them 100 times until they die" type of games. Seems silly to slice someone 10 times with a light sabre and then magically cut them in half on the 11th try. Just doesn't seem too fitting for the genre (Star Wars). Still, doesn't look that bad.

I think it looks much better than Force Unleashed - FWIW, I enjoyed the first one in that series, albeit a shallow game. I expect this game to be rather shallow as well, but hoping for challenging and fun gameplay. Oh and it's friggin STAR WARS.

Preloading while watching episode 1 of the Mandalorian.

Hope this is good somehow, but the gameplay vid isn't encouraging. If we ignore the "but it's Star Wars" thing for a second, it looks and plays like mid-2000s Tomb Raider crossed with the combat of early Demon Souls (pre Dark Souls).

Beautiful environments, but the character model seems to be walking on air, floating above the game world, his stride and the ground moving at two different speeds. But all the sparks flying around do look cool.

If the game were medieval skinned instead of Star Wars and it had to play purely on merit, I suspect it'd get annihilated in the reviews.

I can't get over how badly designed the platforming/exploration sections appear to be. I mean it looks even simpler than the first Uncharted game, and that was already like gameplay on autopilot. Shit like using the time slow ability to slow a fan down so you can go through is like 1990s era gameplay. I could see it being OK in a big open world game where you have a dozen different paths to take to your objective and that could be one option, but when it's presented in the linear path... god does that look SO fucking lazy and simple.

Again, I don't have much hope for this game.

I think it will be like most EA titles recently. It'll look good. It'll sound good.

But the gameplay will be average at best.

The whole game's so simplistic, a lazy tomb raider clone that is not even done well. But people are falling over backwards cause it is SW. Seems pretty generic to me, and not being able to use any weapon but a lightsaber sounds boring. This is literally the 10 minute luke section from Battlefront 2 extended to a what 6 hour game? Pass.
