Valve has showcased its all new Knuckles DV (dev-kit) design in a SteamVR blog post. Valve has taken the feedback from developers to create the latest iteration of the Knuckles DV virtual reality controllers. Improvements to the design over the Knuckles EV3 include cap sense, trigger feel, thumbstick feel, strap durability, firmware, and more.

As with previous builds, we will be sending Knuckles DV kits out to developers. We look forward to hearing feedback as developers make their existing and future content take advantage of the unique features of the Knuckles controllers.

What good is making existing content knuckles compatible when we cannot buy them and there is no reasonable timeline for their availability?

Well, if they released them today then people would be bitching that existing content is not optimized for them..

I agree though they are taking way too long on these damn things. But I suspect the timing is orbiting Valve's HMD release.

What are these like compared to the Oculus Touch controllers? I personally find them amazing and they'd be tough to improve on...

Meanwhile publishers are taking content off Steam in favor of cheaper platforms.

I am more excited to play Cyberpunk2077 than HL3VR.

biggest advantage is you can let go of the controller or grip, which you can't do on Touch. also the clit shaped touch thingy is good for... well... you decide ;)

These will drop with the release of HalfLife3VR.
so never?

These and a ryzen working Vive Wireless is all I want for Christmas. Yep, Could get it to work with my Ryzen 2700. They did let me return it and paid return shipping even.

Individual digit control and the straps that hold it in place. It's supposed to feel more natural for picking up objects.
