Who the hell thought mumble rap was a good idea for a music track to play over a trailer for Mortal Kombat? MK has always needed either some sort of epic orchestral thing making you think of a battlefield, or some other genre that gets you pumped and makes you want to kick some ass.
This... just makes me want to slap the marbles out of someone's mouth and tell them to speak up.
That is the MK sound. its brill!Just cause it's old doesn't mean you can't keep using it forever.
So, not one second of real game-play footage and utter shit music. Great!
This thread needs more old white dudes saying the music sucked.

Any other music would make this better. Hell some old school Wu-Tang Clan would be 1000X better than whatever garbage track they picked for the trailer.
nawww.
Country music would have been appropriate.
I would say something about the "music", but I watched the video w/o sound because I was too lazy to switch my headphones to a device that can output sound. This thread needs more old white dudes saying the music sucked.
Best music + fighting evah!
Yea music aside (which seems to have everyone hung up) they didn't show any gameplay. I am not liking this trend. Already game demos have died away, but now trailers don't show gameplay either. Why don't they just go straight to "hey new mortal kombat 11 game coming out, buy it!!".
"Preorder for Shao Kahn" what a dick move... XD

Or perhaps
Ah yes, because anyone who doesn't like low energy mumblerap must be an "old white dude".This thread needs more old white dudes saying the music sucked.
Everything in the 80's was only better in the 80's.I don't know if it's nostalgia talking, but I seem to remember that song sounded quite a bit different (and better) in the actual movie.

"you want a metal track, damn old white guy"
"you want a hip-hop track, damn old white guy"
"you want a rap track, damn old white guy"
"you want some electronic music, damn old white guy"
How about, people just want different(and better) music and you don't need to be a racist piece of shit?
The ignorance is strong. The butt hurt is strong.
*psst* Nobody cares.*psst* I'm not white.
You're right, however if I'm going to be called an "old white dude" by a racist piece of shit, I'd prefer to at least make the correction. Sorry, I just don't like racist people.*psst* Nobody cares.

You're guilty of the same thing he is though. He interjected race into a comment where it wasn't necessary. You brought your race into the conversation as some kind of a rebuttal/rebuke/something when it wasn't necessary. You're right, however if I'm going to be called an "old white dude" by a racist piece of shit, I'd prefer to at least make the correction. What's different?
Personally, I didn't see his original comment as racist. I saw it as a bit funny. I prefer to view comments like that as jokes unless I know there is something more nefarious behind it.
You seem to have chosen to see the original comment as racist. Maybe you're right. If you're wrong though, you just threw out insults and disparaged a mans character because of how you interpreted his comment. Not the actual comment.

Shoulda played this when Scorpion Took his mask off. I doubt the kiddies would know or people would remember though...
The difference, since apparently it's not obvious... is one was an assumption about other people, the other was not. You're guilty of the same thing he is though. How pathetic are you?The difference, since apparently it's not obvious... is one was an assumption about other people, the other was not.
I mean really, you're trying to defend racism?
