That is the MK sound. its brill!
modern MK's just don't have that MK feel like the used to have... the thing that made them so great. I think its time they do an MK with teh same kind of graphics that MK,MK2,MK3U were all made using. Imagine that shit in 4k with modern animations and gore? That'd be insta buy for me ... and i've not played a beat'em-up since those days (though if i'd have had an XBONE i would have got KI2016 even though the dpads suck balls and i'd hate using them).

Yea music aside (which seems to have everyone hung up) they didn't show any gameplay. I am not liking this trend. Already game demos have died away, but now trailers don't show gameplay either. Why don't they just go straight to "hey new mortal kombat 11 game coming out, buy it!!".

I don't know if it's nostalgia talking, but I seem to remember that song sounded quite a bit different (and better) in the actual movie.
You act like this is anything new. Games have been using cinematics in trailers, especially launch trailers, over gameplay for well over a decade. Its not a new trend at all, especially for the AAA game space.
Its WB Games. Their logo should just be a giant dick because that is exactly what that company is.
Almost all marketing departments for games do CGI exclusively now. It's pathetic. I want to see what the game actually looks like, not some garbage CGI video someone whipped up.
I listen to great music from many different genres. Someone reading idiocracy simple words/sentences over a very dull repetitive beat that has zero to do with MK's theme certainly doesn't meet my threshold for good music. Especially since MK has always had iconic music fit for it.

You're guilty of the same thing he is though. He interjected race into a comment where it wasn't necessary. You brought your race into the conversation as some kind of a rebuttal/rebuke/something when it wasn't necessary.

Personally, I didn't see his original comment as racist. I saw it as a bit funny. I prefer to view comments like that as jokes unless I know there is something more nefarious behind it.

this is the same that they did for MKX. First announcement trailer was Scorpion and subzero fighting in a forest. Second trailer that came out showed some gameplay. this trailer basically told you gameplay will be shown next month.
That crappy music completely killed the vibe of the trailer. If they were going that route, the song should’ve at least had some energy to it ... and at least made an attempt to sync the music to the action. It sounded like it was randomly being played in the background on someone’s radio or something.
The difference, since apparently it's not obvious... is one was an assumption about other people, the other was not.
I mean really, you're trying to defend racism?
