If I wanted to sell my MSI armor 11gb 1080ti for a profit. Where would I start?
Maybe the GenMay section.
Well I just got back from micro center... 40 minute drive to buy a titan xp and they had 3 before I left the house. I get there and they're sold out... So im def not selling my 1080ti now...
In this mining-mad climate, you need to order online for pick-up at Microcenter, or reserve it for purchase at Microcenter.
Looking online with my local MC selected and there is nothing appearing under video cards that's worth a damn for mining, 1050 and lower. Last time I was in there one of the associates told me customers know their truck schedules and are waiting for new stock to get put out.In this mining-mad climate, you need to order online for pick-up at Microcenter, or reserve it for purchase at Microcenter.

Places like Amazon have been selling them for some time. What's up with that? Since when does anyone besides Nvidia sell Pascal Titans?

My local Fry's has 1050Tis, apparently. There's apparently a case to be made for using those for mining, since you can get them and they're relatively inexpensive.Looking online with my local MC selected and there is nothing appearing under video cards that's worth a damn for mining, 1050 and lower. If you sell on eBay expect $100-150 in just seller fees
People are mining on potatos right now, it's crazy. When I was at Microcenter the other day, people were coming in with groups (to avoid the two video cards per customer limit) and buying shopping carts completely full of cards. I had to go back later that night to exchange a DOA motherboard and every video card in the store was sold out, minus a few garbage 1030 type cards. You guys must be looking at different shops than I am. The local Microcenter is selling 1050ti cards for $340+, and 2GB 1050 cards (which, I didn't think anyone mined on something with only 2GB of VRAM?) are seriously $280-$300. 2GB Radeon RX 550s are $200.
There's... literally nothing left to suggest for anyone looking to get a new videocard at this point. I can't even suggest buying one if you're building an HTPC and want something to run emulators and stream blu-ray rips. If you have a GPU from the last two generations you're just stuck with it for a while. Otherwise you're gonna have to go with onboard graphics for a build-your-own box.
Took a little detour to my local Microcenter on way back from the airport. Seems the truck just came in. Was tempted to buy a couple 1080ti for $848 each with sales tax and try to unload new in box for $1,200 each.
On the other hand, especially if you're willing to accept crypto in payment, you might be able to make more like 15% profit selling on craigslist.Good luck - it's really not worth it to buy an $849 + tax card ($925-$930), then selling on ebay who will take -10% and Paypal -3%, AND you're assuming the risk of a CC chargeback on the Paypal transaction. Expensive GPU's are one of the hottest targets for Paypal chargeback scammers right now.
It's just utter stupidity to try flipping a GPU for maybe a 5% profit given the risk.
Cost was $848 with tax and had no intention of selling on FeeBay. But yeah ... did not feel like dealing with it for roughly 30% profit each going through Craigslist.Good luck - it's really not worth it to buy an $849 + tax card ($925-$930), then selling on ebay who will take -10% and Paypal -3%, AND you're assuming the risk of a CC chargeback on the Paypal transaction. Shit I should off-load my 1070
