I have around 54TB of data spread among 17 drives, and it boggles my mind how I could replace nearly all of that hardware with this single SSD. Viking Technology claims that its 50TB UHC-Silo SSD is the highest-capacity drive of its kind shipping today, though it appears to be strictly focused on capacity: the read/write specifications are not particularly impressive. You can check out the product brief (PDF) here.
Viking Technology Ultra High-Capacity (UHC) Silo Series SSD (up to 50TB) is a 3.5-inch solid state drive with a plug-and-play 6Gb/s SAS (Dual-port active-active) interface. The UHC-Silo series SSD is optimized for capacity and performance balanced workloads of datacenters and supports 1 drive writes per day (DWPD) for 5 years. Purpose built for datacenters needing energy efficient, high-capacity SSDs, the UHC-Silo series can greatly increase overall storage capacity per square in. while decreasing power per terabyte. Datacenters looking to transition to the plug-and-play UHC-Silo series SSD can realize cost efficiency between power, space, and cooling by up to 80% per terabyte.
