OFFICIAL : GTX 970 SETTLEMENT check thread

Seems the lawyers are just keeping all the money to themselves! Or just half if what that Reddit person said is true.

Same. Didn't get any confirmation email when I submitted my claim in November. Just a claim form receipt page with the claim number and claim form information for me to print.

Got the same, and still no check

I'd expect at least a website i could take my confirmation # to and check status

this is from my confirmation sheet:

You may also obtain more information by contacting Class Counsel by e-mail at [email protected], or by calling the Settlement Administrator toll-free at 1-844-312-5253.

considering doing that email

Go for it, you will find ( at least the phone number ) is just a round robin, repeating the same outdated status from the website. You don't get to speak to anyone.

Maybe email is better, try it.

Nvidia common... was that stock boost because they found a way to save a bunch of money, not paying?

maybe I'll not eat out tomorrow and pretend that the $30 savings is my Nvidia settlement check

You could of collected aluminum cans by the time instead of waiting for a 30.00 check.
I hope the Lawyers are enjoying mine...

That could be the reason. I submitted on November 9th, and that's 3 weeks before the deadline.

I'm not thinking this is the case. Also still waiting. A while back I had posted that a friend of mine in WI received his (I am in NJ). I have yet to receive mine. Just for comparison's sake, I filed the 1st or 2nd day it was possible to. He filed literally the day before the deadline as I'm the one who reminded him. He received his check. I haven't.

Maybe those who filed first are on the bottom of the pile lol. The only possibility I can come up with is that those of us who are still waiting had to go through some sort of an extra check or approval process before its granted. That may be delaying release or the reason why some are in the "2nd batch" or w/e that lawyer dude said in that info posted above.

Perhaps the people who have been sent checks first used the easily verified option. I remember 1 option you had you submit receipts and the other was to give them the hardware id number of the card.

I think the people who had to submit receipts are still waiting, and the ones who got theirs used the hardward ID number.

Just my 2 cents

I made the claim the first week available and submitted 29 receipts. Still waiting lol.

The waiting....

It's been over a month since they sent out the first wave of checks. Nobody has reported any new checks coming in. I wonder what's going on?

Also has anybody gotten a different response from [email protected]? From what I've seen, they just reply with canned e-mail responses saying to check back in a month.

I submit a invoice for both my Asus 970 on the first day it opened up. Still nothing. If I never get it then oh well. I never felt I got cheated in the first place.

Hello,

The first set of claims reward distribution has begun a couple weeks ago. The total distribution process will take up to a month so it is very possible that your claim reward has not yet been sent out. If you still do not receive anything in about a month, please reach out again.

Thank you

This is after receiving a few emails saying very similar predictions. So dont take this as any sort of evidence. Looks like only one person in this thread so far has received anything.
Keep the dream alive all.

Anyone know of any good betting sites to determine what happens first? -Ice and Fire Book 6? Half Life 3? GTX 970 claims?

In my case, I used the serial #s and still nothing.

Same here, if I don't get money, I don't really care, I didn't feel wronged by Nvidia at all. I just couldn't pass up making a claim for the 29x 970 gtx I bought lol..

I don't feel cheated at all. I got the 970 and it did fine in games as I expected it to. After the news came out, it was like all of a sudden the card stop working for people. Card didn't stop working for me. I remember the news and said "Oh"......., and went back to playing games. I did not expect it to get this blown out of proportion.

Free money though so eh.

This is the same canned response they've been sending out over a month ago. :(

I put in my serial #'s have my claim number, blah blah blah. Filed September 14, 2016 on my 2 cards and still nothing.

Got a letter and was excited to get me $900 check.... but then I got a letter instead that stated my claim was incomplete since I didn't provide them proof of purchase for the 29 cards I made a claim for. I'm pretty sure I did..

K then.

Came from Providence, RI

Screw those lawyers

Looks like youre not the only one. Although this guy doesn't mention how many cards he is claiming. But he did get denied just like you

Ok so looks like they're denying claims because I also received a rejection letter. It's dated 5-26 as well.

It basically states I didn't provide sufficient proof of purchase, which is BS because I submitted a PDF with all my invoices. For those wondering, I am claiming 11 cards.

That's exactly what I did. I submitted a PDF file with all the receipts. The letter I got said the same thing. They're probably banking on the fact that we won't reply and forfeit our claim.

Perhaps they're doing this so that they can keep the money for themselves? I don't know how settlements work so don't quote me on this.
