Didn't see a thread on these sets yet. Anyone using these for PC/HTPC usage or gaming? There are thousands of posts on these sets over at AVSforums but 90% of the posters there are primarily focused home theater. [H] has a more PC oriented bent so figured I'd start a thread here also.
Obviously they all do 4:4:4 at 4k/60hz and 1080p. All of the panels other than the B6 have input lag when in game mode in the 34ms range. Not great, but a big improvement on last year's models which were in the 50's. The B6 is 44ms in game mode. One poster at AVS says game mode disables 4:4:4, like the Samsung LCD models, and according to review websites outside game mode and without interpolation the input lag gets up to 57-62ms unfortunately (HDTVtest and Rtings had two different readings). Dealbreaker for some I am sure if that is accurate.
The C6 is curved, all the others are flat. The G6 is the "premium" "picture on glass" model and is only available in 75" and 65". All the others are available in 65" or 55". The E6 is the next step down and also includes a soundbar, while the C6 and the B6 are priced about $1k lower without the soundbar. If the B6 did not have higher input lag, it would be the one to get, but it does so....yeah that's unfortunate. The E6 looks like the sweet spot unless you like curved screens.
PQ looks to be the same for all the panels (copied from AVS forums):
All have 10-bit panels.
All meet UHD Premium specs.
All support HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
So any lucky mofos out there have one of these? What do you think of it? Due to its size it's not really a desk monitor (i.e., no 40" models) so it's limited to those of us on [H] who either don't mind something gargantuan on a desk or have a living room setup. The PQ on these is pretty great and better than basically anything else available, according to almost every review site.
