Fuzzy text on 4K resolution

I just recently bought a LG 55UB850T which has a native resolution of 3840x2160 and currently using it as a monitor. However, when I set it to its native resolution, the text looks fuzzy and blurry. I have already set the sharpness but it had very little effect. However, if I use a different resolution, such as 2560x1600 or anything under, the text will look fine. Is there a workaround for this?

Are you running at 60Hz? The workaround Nvidia is using, which forces output to 4:2:0, greatly impacts text sharpness I'd assume. Lack of color depth can lead to muddy text on certain backgrounds.

It may be specific to that monitor or the way nVidia implemented 60Hz refresh.

I use two titans on my Seiki and text is crisp and clear at 30Hz

How are you driving the display? Off what port on the video card? Are you using any adapters?

To clarify this.
HDMI 1.xx doesnt have the bandwidth to run 4K screens at 60Hz full res.
NVidia just released a driver that reduces colour quality to reduce the required bandwidth so 60Hz can fit down HDMI 1.xx.
Unfortunately, this reduces the quality and makes text look bad.

Use 30Hz if you are currently using 60Hz.

A couple things come to mind. EDID fix if using an nvidia gpu. Labeling your tv's respective input to "PC". Possibly the TV doesn't have 4:4:4 chroma support, but it's curious text looks fine at lower resolutions. LG tvs typically did have 4:4:4 in the past.

Can make text look bad, black and white text is fine.

I did install the latest BETA driver from NVIDIA and setting it to 60Hz did slightly make the next a bit more sharper, but you can notice the colour loss from it which doesn't really bother me too much though. I'm only using a HDMI cable connected to my TV and video card with no adapter.

Running the TV at 30Hz made the text look unbearable.

30Hz shouldn't affect sharpness in any way. If fact, it should even look sharper then with nvidia beta drivers 4:2:0 chroma subsampling @60Hz. I'm sure that there is some crappy "image enhancer" working in TV's board/firmware. Try choosing 'game'/'pc' mode, switch off misc. "sharpeners" and alike enhancers.
You also can play with clearview settings in Windows to change how font AA works.
P.S.
I recall that with Skyworth 50" there was similar washed-out effect when i tried to use non standard modelines. They were accepted, worked .. and image was horrible, unless i used modes from EDID.
