I recently bought a laptop with the following description. (pulled right off the thread).
I will just start off naming the flaws.
1. The screen has a dead pixel.
2. The screen has a scuff mark, seems to be from the inside.
3. The screen has a bright spot on the right side of the screen.
4. The hinges on the laptop have a GOOD amount of play.
5. The battery has a crack in it, a good crack too.
6. The HDD stated to come with the laptop was a seagate 500GB, it was a WD Scorpio Blue.
7. The top of the LCD screen flickered lightly when I turn on the laptop SOMETIMES.
I RECEIVED THE LAPTOP TODAY 5/16/2012!
I test most of the parts I buy on these forums the first day of arrival to prevent any suspicion of any actions taken by me.
Should I just send the laptop back for a refund? And if so, should I be the one covering the shipping fees?
I however wouldn't mind keeping it if the buyer would cover the cost of a new LCD. Should I try that? Or just send it back?
I'm selling my old laptop that I've used for a few years. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it except for the battery life isn't great anymore. I bought it a while back as a refurb and upgraded the CPU (it's very easy to do on this machine) and upgraded the HDD, but it has been trouble free and I haven't really used it for the last year. It plays StarCraft 2, Fallout 3, etc. on high settings trouble free. The laptop has 2 HDD slots so it would be very easy to throw in an SSD for extra speed.
